Conspiracy Theory #19
I think the government is spying on me.
Ever since I posted my
secret #428 post I have seen these tiny little red beeping dot things everywhere. Well... I've seen 3. For example, in the supermarket yesterday I was randomly standing there waiting for my mum to make her choice of cat food, when in the corner of my eye I saw this flashing light of a red variety. coming from behind a pole. So i went to get a closer look and it was just a little red light flashing device about so big => (O)-
I think the red flashing light got my attention because I've seen 2 others and i haven't had the time or the courage to look at them.
Also, I have been hearing beeps everywhere. Like this morning I swear I heard my phone go off in the other room, but when I stood up I realised that my phone was in my pocket and it hadn't beeped at all.
So I think that the Korean Government is after me because they think I am a dangerous secret agent disguised as a 17 year old australian schoolgirl.

Secret #39
I know this is really REALLY gross kinda, and this person is no where near my "style" - but I find paul robinson off neighbours really sexy. Only when it's not zoomed up on his face though, cos then all his wrinkles overpower his sexiness.

so why must i try? it's just people and leaves!
This is going to be a super random post. Like really random, but I have a few things to say. i better make a list agin. that worked well for me last time, plus it adds as a bonus contents page for you people out there, so you can go straight to the paragraph that interests you. Altough some of these won't have paragraphs, they will just be dot points.
Recently Angus has been refusing to comment on my blog. He says he is too "busy" - total crap if you ask me. He takes time out to comment on Salonas blog, but not mine. Not that it really bothers me as I have replaced him. But I'm not sure if my new favourite commenter will last long as generally people get bored after a while.
I have work again tomorrow. I have to learn how to make coffee! AHH!!! it's hard stuff. No seriously! You have to get the right sized cup, then get the coffee beans and grind them, then press it down, put the sugar in, attach the thingy to the machine and then put the cup (with the sugar) inder the spout and then press the right button. THEN!!! here comes the hardest bit, you have to get the milk and put it under the loud thing. I'm not sure what it does to the milk, does it steam it or what?
And also good luck to Alex with his new pub job. Man, I want to work in a pub. Actually no, because most pub chicks are weird... and i'm already weird enough.
And good luck to others who start scary jobs next week or the week after, i've forgotten.
Today I had a maths test but i finished early so I got to leave, so I went and annoyed angus in the study centre and in the end we made really cool
ambigrams the best one we made was the name SALONA and the word SMELLS. see here:

As you can see, it's not the best representation, but it's the best we could come up with.
I think everyone should go out and buy
The Red Paintings latest EP, "walls" - it's got the hit single "walls" on it - it was #2 on the Triple J hottest 100 for ages, but I don't think it ever got to the #1 position. It should have though, damn Coldplay. Anyway, they are just brilliant beyond belief. And when you buy their EP, can you puh-lease buy me one too?!?!? Thanks.
The other day I got my
formal photos in the mail. They are pretty super! All professional and pretty.
Check 'em out!

That's me, salona and megan.

And that is (L-R) Me, Megan, Lisa, Salona, Hannah, Lauren, Polly, Signe, Amy, Isabel & Louisa
yeah I know my scanner is a pile of crap. And yeah, I know... yeah. And my god, my ear is BRIGHT red in the first pic. AH!
That's it for me for today, now I have to go and try to finish Harry Potter and the half blood prince. I just found out who the half blood prince is. well, not really, all I know is that he once owned a potions book.

p.s for anybody interested, this is my favourite Red Paintings song. Right Click
ME and save me to your computer!
It's not their best song by far, but man I love it.
p.p.s can all you people out there go listen to
this guy. He's my "friend" and he is super talented. so go listen.

Freeing Excellence Affects Reality
I love this song. No matter how many times I listen to it, it's just amazing. I'm talking about FEAR by Ian Brown. His accent, and the lyrics and the music, and the video! and WAH! It's Great.
Each of the lyrics is an acronym for fear except when it goes "you got the fear"
For example, my fav line EVER is "Freeing Excellence Affects Reality" - in itself its a pretty cool line, but the way that he sings it just is perfect. Another good line is "Forget Everything And Remember" - I love Ian Brown!!! The video is pretty cool too. It's hime riding on a bike... backwards.
Today I had a killer IT SAC plus a psychology test. Woo! Then to top it all off I had a music lesson and I found out that I practiced my piece completely wrong. Dammit!
Although probably the highlight of my day was work. It was my first day at Browns Bakery today and it was fun. I'd go into the details, but i'm not going to. Although I will say this, I get a free loaf of bread at the end of each shift, free coffee during my shift PLUS at the end of the day I get yum stuff. Woo! I'm going to get so fat. So guys, next Wednesday at recess I'd be hanging around me if I were you so that you can get day old pastry! hahaha.

they are comparing us to earthworms?
I just read a fairly interesting article on
living to the grand old age of 120. Apparently, scientists have "been able to predict the lifespan of the worm... by culturing them under identical environments and subjecting them to certain stress."
To me this is simply weird. I don't think people really want to live until they are 120. I mean, Kumiko wants to kill herself at 60 because she doesn't want to get old. Imagine living for another 60 years? Imagine what that is going to do to sociey?
Humans will HAVE to start to degenerate at the normal age, and i don't suppose the retiring age would be much different, so us young people will be stuck in a society of old people, and paying a rediculous amount of tax to fund their pensions.
This will be in a long time sure, and it will probably be our kids generation that get to live to this age, but is it really necessary?
Sure, maybe for people that won't live long it'll be great. Like those countries where the average lifespan is like 40 years, they will be able to double it maybe. But I don't think, in the long run, it will be a good move. Too many issues to think about.

Secret #428 - EXPOSED!
You guy's are in for a treat tonight! This very evening I will be exposing one of my deepest secrets! OOHHH!!!
Well, it's not very exciting - I just had to document it so I can remember it in 10 years time. Unless I'm still doing it, that would be amusing. (Hello me in 10 years time? Am I still doing the death thing?)
Anyway, In maths today I was doing the thing that i do most days, when I thought to myself, hey, I should really document this for the masses to see how weird I am.
Since about mid year 7 I've been doing this, and it's become really creepy. Well, not creepy - it's always been creepy, just now I've realised how morbid and cruel it really is. And I REALLY need to stop doing it as it may be damaging my mental health (or whats left of it)
Yeah, so... During boring classes such as today in Maths and Assembly, I imagine that some "terrorist" i suppose you'd call them, or an international government agent has shot someone in the class through the window with a sniper or something. So there is mass chaos in the class, yet I'm like some spy person myself, like James Bond or some crack like that and I have to run out of the class to stop the bad guy.
Recently James Elefanty has been the one that gets shot but it varies from class to class. Like in Assembly today it was Deanne. Or if there isn't anyone that I particually dislike in the class I pick the person who would have the funniest reaction to being shot. For example, I don't particually hate anyone in my Music class, so if I'm bored of my brain I imagine Mr Fletcher to get shot. Then I imagine him spasaming like he does when he does with the leg trick. It's quite an amusing sight.
Usually if it's in music or assembly, the evil shooter person is hiding in one of the big fig trees outside. But it varies. Sometimes they could be hiding in Helicoptors or on the roof, or sitting on top of the power pole type thing.
It isn't like I wish death upon the people that get imaginary killed, that's just horrible. But hmm... I don't really have an explanation as to who my "targets" are. The whole thing imagined to keep me from dozing off, so really, my targets are helping me stay entertained, therefore I don't dislike them as much.
Now I know some of you out there are going to go "oh my goodness she is a sick freak" and tell me how horrible it is. But really it isn't.
Yeah, so that's one of my secrets unveiled. Woo!

Me, Myself & I
I don't know why I keep a blog, whenever i hear that someone new has read it I go all read and embarrased. Maybe subconciously I want the world to know who I am. But on the test thing i am supposedly an extreme introvert.
Anyway, today/tonight I am going to tell you strange people out there in interent land about me. Well, just about me as a child. It's really not that exciting, it's just more of an excuse to put photos on the internet for safe keeping incase the house burns down. So i shall be posting a few on here to share with the world.
I was born on the 22nd of April 1988. Woo! This is the earliest pic I can find. it's not very exciting, I have my eyes shut and I'm not even smiling. Pfft.
Here's a later one where I am actually being semi polite and I have mustered a smile.
Yes, I looked like a freak back then, all bald and gross. Ahh, but I do miss the days when I could actually fit in a hat. Damn my unusually large head!
Here is me at my baptism thing. I'm not sure who is baptising me and I'm not sure where it is, but it's not at our usual church.
My actual godmother couldn't be there for my baptism, so my youngest autny stepped in for her. But here is a picture of my entire family (on my mums side) in about 1989. It's almost my entire family now except for my two cousins who were not born yet. Although I think one of them IS in the photo, just hidden in my aunties stomach and in fetus form. Oh, and the father of the fetus isn't there either.
Thats me in the back corner wearing a *choke* dress. Oh, and that's my grandpa on the right. Apparently I kept him alive for 2 years longer than what the doctors said. So hmmm. I don't remember him at all except for in pictures. He seemed like a pretty cool guy though.
Whats next in the stack of photos? Oh yes. - I always liked to be on my high horse, even as a toddler. Although this horse isn't actually that high, nor is he a euphamism, however, his name was fuzzy and i liked him a lot or so i've been told. Ahh, good ol' days in ol' Wagga Wagga.
So as well as being a cowgirl, I also enjoyed my drinking...

But along with my drinking habits I also thouroughly enjoyed food. Hang on, that sounds as though it's in past tense... let me rephrase - along with my drinking habits i also thoroughly enjoy food. i even picked it myself!

For my third(ish) birthday, Humphrey B. Bear came to my birthday party. I wasn't too keen on the idea, perhapse I didn't realise that a bear could be 7 times the size of me, or maybe I was just upset because I was in a dress.
Apparently the original humphrey was actaully a man inside a costume (he isn't now though - Humphrey is all bear now) anyway, he was a gay man, but he had to get fired because all these mothers rang up when they found out Humphreys sexuality because they didn't want a gay man entertaining their children. Personally I think they were just jealous of his moves. But what I don't understand is why they continued to let their children watch Sesame Street and Playschool! Everyone knows that there is something more going on between Little Ted and Humpty Dumpty.
Come to think of it, Gay's weren't very well accepted back then, when I got married when I was 3 I wanted to marry my friend Alice, but they made me marry Ryan.

We were the couple of the century, we even made it onto the front page of the local paper together. Hot stuff.
Thats about all I can be bothered to do today, perhaps another day I will do the "Chronicles of Me" Ages 4 and Up.
- Em xoxo
p.s if anyone is wanting to know, Ryan and I divorced a couple of years ago, so I'm up for grabs.

i hate posting in one day, yet I've done it for the past 5 days. ghey!
With the recent release of the latest Harry Potter book and the current excitement of House Music at school I think i might combine the two into one post.
A while back, as in last week, Polly and I were talking about the house system at school and how you can just pick what houses people are in. For example, it's quite obvious that Mr Hunter the evil english teacher is in Forster, and Amy is in Cullen.
We were also talking about how it's kind of like the house system at Hogwarts with
- Cullen = Gryffendor
- Allen = Ravenclaw
- Munro = Hufflepuff
- Forster = Slytherin
At first I didn't take Polly's statement that Forster is the equivalent of Slytherin, but then I thought about it and our rivalry with Cullen, and well, it just clicks
Munro really fit with Hufflepuff, they are so dopey and although they try, they don't seem to (OH MY GOD!!! I was just on
imdb.com looking at the new Harry Potter movie and whos in it... my god. it has EVRYONE, but what got me excited, is Jarvis Cocker is one of "the weird sisters" band members! Oh wow, and so is Phil Selway and Johnny Greenwood! Wowness! Harry Potter has turned cool! But I always thought "the weird sisters" were a trio of witches... Maybe these 3 will dress in drag! HA!) win much. Oh well, I still love them second best. It's been quite a swap with Cullen and Munro in the past 5 or so years. I remember the days when Munro won everything and cullen were just poor. Oh well... forster still kick ass. :P

oh man, i was in stiches reading this. v.funny

p.s the other stories are good too!

i called my boss today! it was scary
I got the nicest and coolest review on stumble upon today. Some random said...
This girl likes cool things, which means that she is cool simply because of the things she likes. Also, word on the street has it that she single-handedly defeated Godzilla in a no-holds-barred game of Parcheesi, which makes her a-ok in my book.
Now, i had no idea what Parcheesi is so I looked it up it's an board game originating in india ( althought over there the original game is called pachisi). here are the rules.
Fun stuff.
Also looking through my pictures today I found a jacket that is similar to the one I have to wear to work. Except it's Trent Reznors really cool and stylish jacket that is nothing like mine. Well, the double-breastedness is the same. Oh god that was so weird... I'm listening to "Precious Things" by Blueline Medic (cover of a Tori Amos song) and the line was just "with their nine inch nails..." weird!
(Trent Reznor is the lead dude in the band called nine inch nails.)
Here is trent and his jacket.

My jacket is about that long, maybe a bit shorter and with shorter sleeves and a different collar. Oh, and different buttons... and a different colour. And no lappelle things. And I'm not that hot either.

random image of the day
i have a new super fund. how random!
I'M NOT FIRED!!! WOO!!!
I went in for a meeting with my new boss person, and I had to do all the formalities of new-job-ness. I even got my uniform and hours for next week! Woo!
I'm not telling anyone when I'm working though, or people will come and publicly embarass me infront of my new "co-workers" (HA! I have a boss and co-workers! that's so cool!) however, i do have to start work one morning at *shivers* 7.00am!!! That means I have to get up at 6.45am!!! AHHH!!!! I think I might die!
My uniform is quite gross. It's white and brown. Brown does nothing for me. It's also a double brested type thing. Like what chefs wear. I tried to find a pic of my friends dad (who is a chef) as he wears them. But meh. maybe you'll all just have to come and visit me one day when i'm settled.
Oh wow, i just worked out why my uniform is brown... its because the shop is called BROWNS!!!
oh man, im so smart.

p.s I'm thinking of every couple of Saturdays of having a guest blogger. Like on saturday night on Rage, they have a guest programmer, well, Saturday nights for me will mean Guest Blogger! email me or leave a comment if you want to participate in this amazing Saturday event.

Wanted: Feminist Uprising in Forster
This morning I was thinking about what I should write on my blog today, i decided that I'm in need of a good spiel on feminism. I had lots of arguments planned, but screw that - i'm going to talk about the day I was fired.
Actually. I better not say that because My "boss" called last night and left a message, I have to call her back in a bit as she needs to talk about my roster and available times. Which I don't think will be good as in my first interview the man told me that my availability wasn't really what he was after. so hmmm. I might be unemployed again in an hours time. woo!
Anyway, today I got fired from forster small instrumental. Which in retrospect (is that the right word?) is actually a good thing, as I have 3 other bands with rehearsals almost everyday of the week and I was stressing about how I could fit in another 2 rehearsal times. Anyway, thats not my issue i am trying to discuss.
I told Katherine & Paul (house leaders) that I was fired and they seemed pretty cut at the fact, im not sure why because at the time I was fine with it. Sure I was slightly dissapointed, as small instrumental is really fun but hey! Now i get a sleep in on friday mornings!
So they went to get a reason as to why i was fired, and also as to why they weren't informed of the culling. I'm pretty sure if they did have a say in it they would have picked me over Joss... but well... it's Joss.
Put simply, the reason I was fired was because I am female and because I'm not related to Joss.
Joss' sister was cut too, so they didn't want it to seem as though they were getting rid of the "Terrel" family. So woo! Did it occur to them that they were getting rid of the entire "Steel" family? Their second reason is because they needed an equal number of males and females. Hello! I am the most equal you can be when it comes to being male and female! If it was just me on stage you'd have an equal number of males and females!
I'm also quite appalled at the fact that they didn't consult Paul or Katherine. The main reason why I was "upset" is because I thought that Paul and Kat fired me over Joss. But now I am in the official hate Ms Cawthorn club.
Hmmm. so I have to call my boss person now. That's going to be super scary. Two firings in one day. Thats brilliant. Oh well "destiny was never up to me, and it's not my fault"
- Em xoxo
p.s I will post my feminist post soon. it's going to be great.

fancy that!
Woo! I just got a job! How random!
I'm now an official Brighton gangsta. I'm working in Browns Cafe and cake (yes CAKE!) shop. woo! I rock!
The funny thing is, now that I have a job, I don't want it anymore. ghey. Too much schoolness. Ah well.
Now i just have to learn how to make coffee - like in one of those super special machines. AHH!!!
Meh. how hard can it be? Sam from "I am Sam" did it... and he had the mind of an 8 year old. So I'm sure 17 year old me will be able to do it in no time. eek! And remember people, no one can visit me for the first two weeks! or i will get super annoyed!
- Emma of distiction xoxo
p.s If you scroll down on the left side panel/table thing there is a button called "Blog Audit" or some crack like that. Anyway, if you click on it you vote for me. But I went today right, AND I'M NUMBER 24!!! for the past week I've been #14 or #15, and there are blogs above me that haven't recieved any votes or hits whatsoever! I'm on like 100, and they have 0 and they are better than me. It's so sad.
Ok, there is an update on the postscript... as it turns out they were having technical difficulties, and I'm back to #7. good.
Man I love the red paintings. I have no idea how i got into them, but randomly i have just slowly falled in love with them. can someone please buy me their album. OH WAIT!!! hahaha, i will have money soon! I can buy it myself. I will need a list of things to do with my first paycheck.
ok, i'll put the list in my mother of a psotscript.
- Buy CD's
- Buy Ben Lee rareties
- Pay back my mother for things that I owe her
- Pay back Polly and any other people that I owe money too. (if I owe you money, tell me, i have probably forgotten)
- Buy clothes
- Buy Harry Potter 6
- Go see lots of movies
- Shout lots of people food and "coffee" at davids.
Ok, so i realise this will be like my paychecks for the next YEAR, but ahhh, i can only dream.
OH MY GOD!!! I CAN SAVE UP FOR A CAR!!!
And sarah raised the point that if I work the last shift of the night I get to take home all the old cakes and stuff. I'm going to be so obese.

i saw seahoes having sex
I can now add three more bands to my list. Woo!
Today, I rose from bed at some ungodly hour, like 10.30 or something, it was horrible. I had to meet polly at the station as we were going to Bayswater. That's in Zone 3 of Melbourne. And we were in Zone 1 - which means we "had" to pay $17.80 worth of train tickets. I've never been to bayswater, but I believe it's out where we used to go for house orienteering - as in... the country.
It was all smooth sailing to Bayswater, we got on the right trains, and they were all less than a minute away from when we got to the stations, if not waiting for us. Once in Bayswater we headed down to the Bayswater Community Centre so that we could go and see:
- Behind Crimson Eyes
- Karnivool
- Sunk Loto
On the train to Bayswater we found some kids who were obviously going in the same direction. One of them even had a Behind Crimson Eyes T-Shirt on. There was also a boy who reminded me of Dann from Evermore, but with bright green hair. He and the BCE T-Shirt girl we making out randomly on the train. Together they reminded me of that weird couple in year 12 last year. You know? The migit girl and that weird huge lanky boy? Meh.
It was an underage event and the free tickets we had said "the names on your ID must match the name above" - we had one small problem, neither Polly or I were called "Paul Eccarius" which was the name on the ticket.
When we got to the door we realised that they were checking everybodies ID and tickets, so we had a slight moment of terror, but like I said: It was smooth sailing. The bouncer guy was so thick he didn't realise that neither of us was called Paul, or the fact that we were both female.
Anyway, we went in and got a nice lil position at the front left side of the stage. We got settled and waited for the first band: Behind Crimson Eyes
I didn't know what to expect of these "boys" (one of them i swear was like 15 years old) but obviously my expectations were way too high. These guys were just FUNNY! My god. I wanted so hard to burst out in laughter, but alas I was surrounded by their cult following of small 14 year old children. The lead guy, who was this small little... runt, was obviously gay. Well... just VERY emo. He wore pink (not black as is the fashion for emo boys) makeup to match his very nice pink tie. Not to mention his hand movements. Many times did i see it in the homosexual pose that so many young men these days get bashed for.
Thankfully Behind Crimson Eyes didn't play a long set, and next up was Karnivool. I admit I didn't know much about these guys at the start of the day, but they were very good, and I even knew 2 of their songs. Go me!
When they were setting up I commented on the Guitarists shoes and how I liked them. And Pol goes to me "What? You like the fact that he's wearing shoes? Or you just like his shoes in general?" - But his shoes were cool I think. Anyway, when the band came to play, what did we find? The guitarist wasn't wearing the shoes. I found that quite amusing - not the idea of not wearing shoes, but because polly questioned my reasons for liking his shoes.
So Karnivool were MUCH better than BCE, by far. The shoe guy was hot too. Oh, and I can't go on without commenting on the lead singers facial expressions. They are not able to be described - Polly and I were laughing so much at his face. It was very funny. But They were good, and the face just added to the experience. Oh, and Amy - The Karnivool bassist had a 6 string bass! The fret board was FAT! I have no idea how he even got his little fingers to move around it.
Moving on, I started to get butt raped by some random behind me as he wanted to get closer to the stage, but I wasn't going to let him through. bwah ha ha ha.
Sunk Loto came on, not much to say here. They were very very good. I enjoyed their set a lot.
Polly's 3 cameras were eventually diminishing. the Canon died during Karnivool, and there weren't many shots left on the Olympus, so we were down to the fat mama called Nikon. Oh man, I love SLR's. I want one so bad. The Nikon D70s - someone buy it for me please!!!
So, Sunk Loto were good except for the slight fact that I was getting ass raped for almost the entire set, except for maybe a few minutes when the boy moved on over to Polly.
Now might be a good time to mention the mother. The woman who seemed to have organised the gig was the ultimate mother. She made sure everyone had their tickets and the right ID before they went in, and made sure everyone knew what was happening. And she may have actually been an actual Mother as she dressed and had the familiar baggy eyes that are common among teenagers mothers.
Afterwards, Pol and I went to find food. On the way we saw the ass rape guy and his friends drive off in a P-PLATED CAR!!! So that either means that they used fake ID to get into an underage gig, or they were driving illegally. Funny eitherway. And very very sad.
So we got a large "godfather" pizza from Jessies Pizza shop in Bayswater for $5.95. Not the best pizza I've ever had, but I'm sure that for those in Bayswater it's tops. :P
When we got to flinders st we jumped on the tram to East Brighton as we thought that would take us to where we wanted to go (a secret location somewhere along St Kilda Road.) But out smooth sailing stopped the second we boarded that tram. The tram turned too early so Pol and I were stranded out in the middle of this busy road trying to work out how to get back as we couldn't follow the tram line as it went through a scary tunnel.
So we eventually got on the right tram, and we got to our secret destination and we recieved our prize. Well... polly's prize. I was just cold... very cold.
Then we came home.
So it was a fun day, I learnt a lot about lots of things. Like there is a seedy aquarium in bayswater with dirty gross fish tanks and dyeing fish, and horny seahoes (my plural for seahorse... as is seahorses.)
- Em xoxo
p.s i totally forgot to add that on the way back, on our second encounter with ticket inspecters they told us that we didn't need to spend $17.80 on train tickets as on Sunday we could have just bought a "Sunday Saver" each for $2.50 - WHY HAS NO ONE EVER TOLD ME THIS BEFORE??? failing miserably
NOOOO!!! my procrastination attempts are failing miserably, i just did a full hour of solid study! AHH!!! WHATS HAPPENING TO ME?
- Crazy Em xoxo
I Got Tagged
Ten years ago: Well, it was 1995 and I would have been in year 2 at school. Fun Stuff. My teacher was Ms Neal. A few years ago she married Mr Raudys. Hmmm. Anyway, I would have just gotten back from a trip to France and Japan - i spent something like 3 months overseas. In year 2 This would have been around the time that my best friend Charlotte brought her cousin to school for a week. Her cousin spoke no english and Charlotte didn't speak much French. So between my occassional "Je m'appelle Emma" and "Comment Ca-Va?" and "Frere Jaques, Frere Jaques - Dormez-Vous! Dormez-Vous!" I don't think the cousin girl had a very good time.
Five years ago: 2000 eh? Well, It would be comeing up to the Olympics, and I was in year 7. - 12 years old. Fun stuff. Mr C was my Maths and English teacher, as well as taking me for Form period. Yuk. At this time I was really keen about Soccer and Mountain Biking. How random!
Nothing terribly exciting happened that year. I started playing the trombone and was just finding my love for computers. Although that last point had been steadily growing for about a year and a half. One year ago: Was year 11 and I was 16. I'd probably be getting pretty excited about the Canberra music trip at this time. Oh, and I would be also making frequentish visits to the Orthodontist as in August I got my beautiful braces.
Yesterday: Was Friday and I had a weird encounter with the police. I also had a job interview in the City and it was absolutely freezing. I had 4 free's at school, so I got to go home at 1pm and had a massive break for recess. From 10.15 to 11.40 - Lisa bought me a hot chocolate. Man I love her. She's brilliant.
Today: Got physically out of bed at 12.30 and went and found some food, then I did my daily rtual of checking emails, blog comments, other peoples blogs, stumble-upon friends, ben lee board and website maintenance. After all that I did some psychology - then tried to contact Polly after a chat with salona on the phone. Then more Pshych. Then I watched Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Yey! Sirius survived! Professor Lupin is my favourite character in the books, i can't wait until someone is finished the new one which came out today so I can read it.
Tomorrow: Is Sunday which usually means that I have to go and visit my Gram. But I'm probably going to a Sunk Loto/Behind Crimson Eyes/Karnivool gig in Bayswater or somewhere with Polly and Paul and others. Then Polly and I are going to steal a Hives poster from the Nepean Highway. Fun Stuff.

Em's CrAzY link of the YEAR!!!
Ok, so I've seen this site a few times, well, bits of the site a few times, but I wanted to keep it to myself, but I love it so much I just have to share with you fine people out there in internet land.
How much is inside? is so cool, the guy who writes them makes me laugh, a lot. It's very clever. very very clever.
I don't care what you people think, but I love it. honestly, I've been steadily reading throgh all of them for a while now. It's good stuff.
- Em xoxo
p.s a link that deserves some recognition, but not "link of the year" (but definatley CrAzY) is Salona's Blog - ok, so i didn't mean that in a way that her blog isn't worth link of the year, cos it rocks, and i read it religiously - serious! i do! I always check for new posts and I always comment. AHHH!!! I JUST REALISED I'M TURNING INTO ANGUS!!! AHHH!!!!
Anyway, the reason that Noni's blog gets reference is because she did a tribute to me. yuk. I don't take compliments well, so ummm. yes. thanks Noh! and i realise, that this thanks shouldn't be in the postscript, but i don't feel like posting today, if i do, i will make a better thanks.

I'll lose myself! Oh baby, we'll be fine! Please don't listen to a word that I say, ohhh... just stop!
Ok, so you know when you have like a thousand things to say but you can't remember any of them? well, I have that now, I've already said one, so now for the others.
I'll do a list so I dont forget.
- House Music
- World Vision Child
- Pop-Ups - man i Hate them!!! AH!!
- Counter thing
- New layout
- Sexyness of me
- I forgot Brass Ensemble today... sorry guys!
- Dom's visit
It's like when you walk into a CD store and you have money and your set on buying something, and you have like a giant list of CD's to choose from in your head, but when you get into the store, the list just flies out of your head. I had that yesterday. On the train I thought of all these super CD's to buy - i think I got to like 14 or something, and then when I got into Virgin, I could only remember like 5 or 6 and they were the ones that Virgin didn't have. Trust!
So you eventually choose one, even if its not your favourite but because its just there (in my case yesterday, I made the right choice - as the record I bought is awesome)
hmmm yes. indeed. Whats next on the list?
Oh yes! First day of House Music rehursals today. Woo! I enjoyed myself. Forster are doing "We are Family" by Sister Sledge (is that how you spell it?) and the set piece which is from the Power of One movie. We learnt the boys part today, minus the words... so we were all stomping to the beat. I thought it was good, we all had enthusiasm so it was cool. GO FORSTER! WOO!
Kat-G and Paul seemed pretty ummm... useless, like they weren't asked to do anything, nor were they allowed to take over and input anything. Riethy and Cawthorn seemed to just take control. Poor kids, they are way better than Reithy and Cawthorn put together. (Although I love reithey. he is the biggest munchkin!)
We don't seem to be very organised... well, Small vocal is, and we are going to win that, but eek! small instrumental is a bit shakey. we don't even have music. AH! I asked Katherine what was going on with all that today, and she told me to ask Paul, so I did and he goes to me "How would I know? I'm not in charge" or something like that, but less mean sounding than what I wrote. So Hmmm... And the piece that we are doing is mighty tough. Its the beetlejuice theme. I'd post it here, but I'm running low on space, so i'll have to find one of those "free" providers. (yuck)
I'm thinking of doing new layout for this blog... which I think i've mentioned before, but this time I'm serious, but i doubt I'll get time to do it this term, well, not until November. Maybe for Summer I'll get a nice breezy theme thats nice for summer. I also need a new counter, as I don't think the current one is working too well, it seems to be not appearing all it says is "... visitors have viewed this page" - No Shit visitors have viewed this page!!! BUT I WANT TO KNOW HOW MANY!!! I'm coming up to the 2000 mark soon, so if anyone wants to help me out by sending your friends and family here (from different computers/IP adresses so it makes a difference) I'll be happy.
In the mail today we got our World Vision Child. Her name is Mfuneyi Jestasi and she's from Malawi. Her birthday is... TODAY!!! oh wait... no... on Saturday!!! Wow! she'll be 7! Thats cool, I'm going to bake a cake for her and eat it. Ok i just realised how mean that is, as she probably gets no birthday cake, and she is possibly starving anyway. Well, I have to make cake for my band so maybe we can celebrate her birthday as well as having a "sorry that emma forgot to turn up on thursday."
Anyway, Mfuneyi likes to dance, and she is in grade 1. Her favourite subject is "National Language" - does anyone know what they speak in malawi? is it french?
And her chores are washing the dishes.
Here is a picture of her.
I'm a bit sad at the moment, Dominic Monaghan is/was in Melbourne this week, and well... i guess I missed him. He was on Nova this morning and thats about it. Trust channel 7 not to take full advantage of having 2 of the most popular Evangeline Lilly is sooo cool and pretty!
But more so, I've been in love with Dom since I was like 7! Seriously, I had no idea of this, but my mum remembers me being in love with him when he was on "Hetty Wainthrop Investigates" - I remember the show and the boy. But apparently every night it was on i made a space on the couch (like I do now with Lost) and watched it intensly, even if i had no idea of the plot, then afterwards all I could talk about was the boy in it, who was supposed to be a couple of years older than me at the time, but well... Dom's actually like 11 years older, so hmm.
here is a picture of him on the show.
Hmmm... not entirely sure where the attraction came from, but I've always had a thing for big ears. I mean, check out Ben Lee! haha (it's him at his bar mitzvah! CUTE!!!)
I really really really want sarah clark's ears! seriosuly! since the day I met her in year 7, i've wanted her ears.
Ok, so I think i have satisfied the list. if there is anything I have forgotten, well, use your imagination.
Must go do work now. ew.
- Em xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxooxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxooxoxoxoxox (the extra ones were for Dom, I can't believe I missed him. sadness. Seriously, since like 2001 I've had this really embarrassing question i've wanted to ask him (which I am NOT going to post here) and just generally i'd love to just have a chat with him, hes been in some cool movies and shows a long the way, and met some amazing people.)
p.s and note from later: ok, i found the best quote ages ago, but i never found out who said it until today... here it is. "Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, We’d all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and Listening to repetitive electronic music." Kristian Wilson, Nintendo Inc. 1989
oh man. i love it so much.

Em's CrAzY link of the day!
Ok guys, we havent had one in a while but here comes my crazy link of the day... this one is for drug induced spider-webs (salona, even though there are no spiders shown, i suggest you do not view this site) - man they are super cool. The LSD one is quite pretty actually... but oh man, the caffine one! HAHAHAHA!!!
Check out the crazyness here. Crazy stuff.
- Em xoxo
----------------
Ok, it's been five minutes, and I found another crazy link...
it's about australian women (yes thats right boys, i fall into that category) that have sleep-sex... like sleep walking, but instead of walking they ahh... well, do the deed, but not necessaraly with their hubbys or boyfriends, generally with random strangers. hahaha, my hot neighbours better watch out! :P
check out the article here
I love this bit about the sleep-sex womans husband: "Her partner was already aware that she was a sleep walker and also had been confounded by condoms he found strewn around the house"

get behind me satan
How are you now anyway?
I bought the new White Stipes album today. I'm up to track two at the moment, and so far it's pretty good, but I've only really heard good reviews about it so I doubt I'll be dissappointed with my choice. I've had $25.80 to spend at myer/coles/vintage cellars/virgin for ages now so I finally had like 5 CD's on my list to buy, so thats what I did this afternoon. Fun stuff. I was in myer/virgin music dept and just as I handed over my $1.15 to buy the CD i heard the familiar sounds of the stomps and claps of catch my disease, by Ben Lee come across the system, and the check-out chick starts bopping away and she goes "oh I love this song, the guy is so cute!" and I'm like "ahhh... right, like i've never heard that before" - you see, EVERYONE tells me how much they are digging Ben's new song. And people tell me if they've heard it on the radio - what do they expect me to do? Shower them with gifts? Sure, the lady in myers didn't know that I am in love with Ben Lee and his totally rad music. Maybe I should get a T-Shirt that says "Don't talk to me about Ben Lee!" or even better, one of those T-Shirts that say "BAN BEN LEE!!!" - there is this group of people in Sydney that I pity... they hate Ben Lee so much, they make petitions to get Ben Lee banned on commercial radio. Funny stuff. It obviously hasn't done much as like 2 weeks ago "Catch my Disease" was the most played song on Australian radio.
I saw so many people randomly that I knew in the city, weird because it was a school day and most of the people I saw were supposed to be at school. But I did find a friend I never knew I had. It's funny how you just have pre-concieved ideas of a person, but really, when you get talking with them, they are this complete opposite to what you imagined. Thats what happened today, the train was a bit late, so naturally at 5.00pm on a wednesday, Platform 7 at Flinders St was packed, so i sat down, and this "random" sat down next to me, neither of us looked at each other, but when she went to look out the window she saw who I was and she's like "oh, hey emma!" and naturally, I'm like what the crack? why are you here? I don't like you, get away!
But we were talking from Richmond through to Middle Brighton when we got off and she offered me a lift home.
So, did anyone go to the courses afternoon? I wanted to see the guest speaker? Declan right?
Hmmm ya. Until next time when I publish, which will probably be tomorrow.
- Em xoxo
p.s Amy, if you have "get behind me satan" or ever get your hands on it, check out jack whites vains in the cover book thing!

And I'll forget I ever lived in any other place
Ok, so heres my 3rd Blog post today. As you can see, I'll do anything to procrastinate holiday homework. Angus just came around to give me the english work. He came to my door in socks and sandles. (NOOOOOOO!!!! one of my nails just chipped!!! I'll have to re-do it)
Anyway, since I was a young tacker, I've noticed that I get orange and green mixed up. Not like colour blindness, because I can tell that there are two different colours there, but It will just take me a while to work out what to call them. for example, just today, I went to tell angus what sheets to photocopy or whatever, and i'm like the blue and the orange, as thats what I wrote down in my record book at the end of last term. But clearly the orange sheet was actually green.
My mother first noticed it when I was about 9, and she just got me saying the colours as she thought I learnt them wrong, but I know what is green, and what is orange, just when I go to name them, there is something wrong with my brain which at the last moment, although I am thinking "oh, that person has orange hair" but I actually say "wow, green hair! how cool!"
Oh. and doing the stroop test was embarrassing. hahaha, good thing no one was checking if i said the right colours.
So call me a freak, call me unique, call me really hot, I don't care.
- Em xoxo
my bad!
Ok, so I just remembered that Amy told me she opened her Tori Amos vinyl that was super rare (it was pink!) so that gave me automatic permission to open my Ben Lee puzzle. So i did. and i did the puzzle, and it was fun. I scanned a picture of the final image, but i realised its going to look really poor because its a picture of a puzzle that hasn't been made right. i mean... I made the puzzle right, but the picture that its of isn't right... hmmm, you'll just have to see.

pretty stuff eh! So hopefully you can see what I'm on about with the un-made puzzle, even though it is made.
I wish i had the original puzzle, even if it doesn't all fit.
Must go, this was quite a random post, i think subconciously I just wanted to move the last post down a spot. so hmm.
Yesterday I played the "At the Drive In" song, "300MHz" backwards. it was scary. But it was just the same as the first verse... just in reverse. damn, i thought it was going to be some secret message, but it wasn't.
I might go now... as i failed to last time. pehaps I'll do my ben lee puzzle again.
- Em xoxo
dust floats through sun and water
I still have the green t-shirt you know, and the black jumper. The tracksuit pants couldn't be cleaned though.
The t-shirt isn't green anymore, it was bleached clean. Not that it matters, I haven't worn it again since that day that the green was stained.
I put the t-shirt in a box, im not sure if you know, but it was in a box in my top wardrobe. It's only been out of the box 4 times since the day it went in there, but the tears that accompany it in the box sometimes escape, anyway, they did last night. I went to put them back in the box, but when I climbed up and opened it i found the t-shirt, still smelling of bleach, and still folded nicely.
I took it out and put it on for the first time since I took it off the last time. That last time you were with me. I slept with it on last night, and I still have it on, but my tears have stopped flowing, and hopefully they've stopped for good now. I'm going to dispose of the t-shirt now, sure, burning it would be more poetic, but I think theres enough bleach on it to blow the house up.
Anyway, I hope you appreciate my public goodbye letter, I thought you enjoyed public displays, after yesterday and all, and I didn't mean it when i said sorry, but I think you know that.
That bloddied t-shirt is gone now. I hope you are happy.
Love you forever,
- Emma xoxo

crash your cool cars kid! watch the citizens all gather around
Hello all. I now have 3 (it should have been 4 grrr!) new bands to add to my "Bands I've seen, that are worth writing down" list.
Today Salona, Polly, Amy, Isabel, Lucy, Lauren, Kate and Nick headed into the city to go see:
But we didn't end up seeing theredsunband because we were too late and the line was massive. I think we got in like maybe a few minutes after they finished. But this is a touchy subject so don't bring it up with anyone, just in case.
We got in at ummm... 2.30, we had been waiting in the line for almost an hour. Ugh. We had no idea what band was on first so "we" were all fretting about what band we were going to miss as we all had our favourites. I was sooo happy that the Panda Band were last out of the supporting bands. I love them. Ahh yes.
But anyway, from the beginning. We got there at 1.30, but it was supposed to start at 1.00 so we were a bit late, not that it really mattered because they didn't start letting people in until about 1.45ish. We were all pretty bored, I managed to make a fool of myself many times, like the time the guy came and asked me what the massive line was for. "ahhh, ahhh, ummm... ahhh..."
We went and got food and stuff. it was happy. well, until we found out that we missed the redsunband. I didn't really mind because they were my least favourite out of the lot.
Then we got in, and we pushed out way to the mid-front/side and stood there for a while watching the Vasco Era. Then Polly, Kate, Salona and I went to the front of the stage so Polly could get some photos for her art book.
The Vasco Era rocked. They were very very good. Before I recommended them to Salona, and I think now they have a new obsessed fan. haha. The bassist was damn fine! and he had a 5-stringed bass. I thought they only came in 4 and 6, obviously not. Did anyone else see that Dann from Evermore was doing back-up drumming behind the scenes?
Salona and I tried to move closer to Polly and Kate but the stupid Christina Aguilera girl and her bimbo friend wouldn't let us move. when we eventually bashed through she kept on making me move because I was too tall. It's her problem shes a ghey little 13 year old thats too short and can't see the stage. She was even a step above me! But i think her hair made her look taller, i felt sorry for the people behind her, they wouldn't have been able to see over her hair.
here is what she looked like. but she was younger, and didn't have the braids. same hair colour and style though. And she was like 13, but had about the same amount of make-up on as the real christina in this photo.

Stupid little girl.
Anyway, We finally got a good position, and finally the Panda Band came on. Ahhh, I was happy. They didn't play Mohawk, sadness, but they did play Eyelashes (I think) and Sleepy Little Deathtoll Town. YEY! The lead guy, Damian (I think - according to Beat magazine) was very very attractive. As in, my god, he was beautiful. But Salona and Kate liked the guitarist/shaker guy. And Noni even got a photo with him afterwards. I'll post it here when I can.
Then after much waiting, we heard the screams of hundreds of children when Evermore decided to grace the stage (right on time too! The hi-fi bar is so punctual!) They opened with "for one day" and closed with something I don't know. which i thought was a bit random, i was expecting them to encore with come to nothing, but they played that near the start. odd.
But they were very good. Those brothers amaze me. Dann, the youngest is just such a sweety, and he goes nuts on the drums, he has awesome rhythm. And Jon, ahhh, where would Evermore be without him? Good guy. Kinda quiet. When we met them a while back he barely said anything. And Peter. Oh my. What a guy! Seriously, I love him and his talents sooo much. And his looks! Oh my. And he is the nicest guy! (and he likes my jacket!)
We were all standing to the side of the "mosh" (of like 10 year old children? what the crack?) to the right side at the front of the stage, so we were directly below Peter and his very pretty keys. Man, like i just said to amy... v.embarrassing... "man, it was so embarrassing. i got kinda carried away in the music, (which i do sometimes) so my eyes just shut. i dont know why. but when i realised i opened them and he was staring right at me and im like AH!"
So yeah, then we hung around a bit at the stage just getting over it when I noticed Salonas fav guy from the Panda band on the steps (possibly with one of the girls from theredsunband and some other random) so she got her photo with him. Then we went to the merch table and I bought a Panda Band T-shirt, and isabel got a theredsunband t-shirt. and others just got stickers and badges. they made quite a profit out of us i think.
And that was it. We all trained home together and yeah. 'Twas a plesant arvo!

Klaus "Hans" of Germany
I was just looking at my blog. (It's all I do) and I saw my Santa Claus post and it reminded me of my first true obsession/love of a real person (Michaelagelo of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles doesn't count). His name is Klaus. He was a german exchange student type person at the school I went to in France. As in... he was an equal of me, but from Germany.
When I first saw him we were sitting on the concrete tables at school, it was our first, maybe second day at Sainte Marie du Port (the school) and he was standing behind us. Mmmm...
Jess B said he looked like a calculator nerd. Anyway... here are a few extracts from my travel diary.
"His name that we have given him is 'Hans'. No one else likes him. They all say he belongs to a farm, calculator or a pack of ferets. I have also been told that he looks like a homosexual, stoner, mole, toilet bowl and Hitler. (but that last person was just being mean)"
----------------------------------
"Today is Thursday and we get to go shopping in Les Sables d'Olonne!!! Yey!
Hans is sitting to my left :)
In Australia is hans a brand of ham?"
----------------------------------
(at lunch one day)
"We all lined up and Klause was about 10 people infront. Has has a very good dress sense, good hair, walks well. Overall very well presented.
Lunch today was maccaroni and kebab things. It was ummm... good? or not.
Klause was sitting diagonaly to my right a few tables. He and his friends were sitting at the talble next to the exit. (The only exit!)
I wouldn't shut up about his every move so Camilla (who also liked him) and Polly got up (without my knowledge) and stood near his table. By this time I had been told what they were doing.
They went over to him and did as follows; Went to his table and asked if he was Klause. He did not speak much english so his friend translated. Polly and Mil then told him that I liked him. Meanwhile I am dying in my seat.
Then Klause goes (I did not find out until Pol & Cam came back) in his german accent, 'Oh! that is nice but... (I'm still dying) I love him!" And he puts his hand on his male friends shoulder.
Pol and Cam came back and told me. I died.
All the signs were there. People told me! His Clothes! His Hair!.
Je suis mort."
----------------------------------
(At the soiree the night before we left the french school)
"The night went well, everyone sung their songs. The germans went overboard with their singing and playing instruments. they even had an accordian.
Klause was there and when we finished our songs he stood and clapped. Him and his partner were the only ones that did. V.Cute.
(edited part, just about brioche and my anorexia, macaroni and prawns.)
Everyoen was talking and taking photos. Klause was still there. It was v.uncomfortable for me.
I finally got my courage up to go talk and have a photo with him but I turned around and he was not there.
Dewberry broke a glass, and Paul talked to Polly a lot.
At last Alex dragged me and Paul over to Klause. Paul asked Klause if he could be in a photo with me. He agreed! (Yey! maybe he fancied Paul?)
After the photo I gave Paul and Alex a big hug to say thanks.
Klause was really nice."
The photo Alex took never worked out. Damn her and her fancy camera that obviously isn't that fancy!
I Liked Klaus a lot. I was really shattered when I found out the aweful truth. Although, I don't actually think he was gay. I just think he was being nice. He was a nice boy. Good fashion sence too. I really loved his jacket. It felt so good to touch.
Ahhh. Klaus.
Here are some totally fab photos. (Let's see how this new blogger feature works... its a photo using feature. fancy!)

That last picture is one I found on the internet (yes, I am a freak. I know, and a stalker. yes.) It's from a few years ago I think. Or it's his younger bro. But I think it's him bottom right. in the marone jumper. mmm. Cool jeans too!

My Mother is going Crazy - Part 2.
Hmmm, so in my mothers recent new look on life she has decided to go out and sponsor a world vision child. Sure, this is the normal thing to do with all the recent publicity about "Make Poverty History" and Live8 and everything is it not? NOT FOR MY MOTHER!!!
I remember asking her when I was younger for a world vision child, but she had many different forms of saying no, there was "the money never gets to the child" or "no, it's a rip off" or "they never write to you" or just a plain "no" - so anyway, I walk into the office the other morning and I see that shes looking through all these children from Malawi. So naturally, I'm like what the bluecrack?
In the end she got one. Her (I wanted a "he") name is ummm... totally can't remember. (the ones I wanted were called Sunga and Lonely) and she's 6 years old, she likes dancing (I wanted one that likes Soccer) and she comes from Malawi in Africa (I wanted one from SE Asia... like a Cambodian kid)
So as you can see, my mother is trying to replace me. She always wanted me to be ummm... feminin and she wanted me to do ballet and not soccer, and she doesn't want me to grow up.
I'm hurt. i truely am.

Yeah... indeed
what's up my G's?
I just got an X-Ray or two. 'Twas pleasantly pleasant. I think it was an OPG and ummm... something else.
Whilst I was waiting for the nurse lady to make sure that my scans went all well this random came into the room because apparently I looked lonely. Nice guy, he likes web design, so hello random stranger! (gave him the URL of this and BTD.com)
Hmmm so yeah. I still can't remember the thing that I was supposed to post today. It feels like it was really important too. I'm going to die soon if i don't remember it.
I'm still grounded. Poo.
Oh, and did anyone come round this afternoon? like in between 4 and 5pm? Because apparently some female came to the door asking for me. But I wasn't there. And she wasn't even kind enough to give my parental her name. And my parental isn't competant enough to remember any of her defining features. Peh! Males.
Something that REALLY grossed me out yesterday: My mother told me where I was conceived. The most disturbing thing I have ever been told. To make things worse, is that there is no definate place where it happened. "Just somewhere on the South East coast of NSW" GROSS!!!
Ugh. must be off. My Procrastination efforts worked to their advantage today. I ended up not handing any resumes out because well... i took too long to print them off, and then i realised I had no paper, so I went to officeworks, and then got my head X-Rayed. Fun! Hey, at least this way I met the random hottie in the hospital. meh.

This week shal officially been known as the week where Emma made contact with 2 of the boys on her marriage list.
That reminds me, i'll need to post my marriage list. it's been sitting around for about 5 years now without publishing. Mind you, in year 7 where would i have published it? The school Newslink?
Anyway, I woke up at 1.13pm today. It was fun. Then i had a brilliant idea that i would do the resume rounds. There are heaps of places around that have little signs up saying casual position needed or whatever. so hmmm... thats what i am procrastinating doing right now.
Anyway, i got an email type thing from My Space saying that Mcgowan has written me a message. oh it was super excitement, especially after tuesdays excitement of the Ben Lee comment thing. You see, I made a comment on his ahhh... "space" saying hmmm, "love catch my disease, 'twas played at the formal, when are you coming back to aus?" (not my exact words) and yeah... he wrote back (totally unexpected!) saying...
no way! they played it at your formal? That's big! I'm glad you are enjoying it - it was fun to make too.
I don't know when i'll be back in AU - i've got to sort out this american thing right now - but believe me, i'm dying to get back there - please don't let me forget it!
cheers,
m
YEY!!! I am sooo loved this week! And did you know that Catch my Disease was the most played song on radio last week? Pretty funny eh!
Ben Lee posted a new comment on his blog... here are the bits that concern me.
A CONNECTION IS MADE
wow. i didnt quite realize the shock/horror that would be inspired by proof that i actually read your comments on this blog! of course i read them.
the way i look at my connection with my fans is that we have a karmic relationship. we are here to teach/learn from/inspire each other.
--------(edited the middle out)-----------
anyway, as far as the blog and comments go, i very much follow my intuition as far as responding. if someone makes a comment/asks a question, im not going to respond unless i feel i have something valuable to add. theres no point typing just because i like the look of my own font (that sentence was a stretch but i think i made it work...).
so lets go forward. into the unknown. we are part of a grand experiment that has more potential than we can ever know.
xoxob
Ahhh, i am so special! hahaha! Hmmm... i did have another reason for writing a blog entry today. maybe i'll remember later.

"Hi, this is Gary! - Where the fucks bay street?"
Ahhh, so after the excitement of this mornings blog post by Ben Lee, i am ready to go on with the return of Gary.
Last night we had a bollywood night at Lisa's. good times. I don't think we actually finished one movie, they are just soooo long! In the end, Megan, Polly and I just watched music videos. BOLLYWOOD MUSIC VIDEOS!!! bwah ha ha haa. They were brilliant. we even got to see the hot back-up dancer in Mahi-Ve. and We got to watch my favourite dance in Koi Mil Gaya. ahh, good times. But what made the night, was the return of Gary.
Gary wanted to have a hot rendez-vous with a particular fellow, but in the end they got mixed up and ended up at the wrong drinking fountains. Damn! hahaha. good times. Gary really wanted to take his fellow back to his Van that was parked in bay street, but alas, they were both at the wrong drinking fountain. Damn!
Ahhh good times.

p.s Ben Lee thinks i have interesting points, which in reality, means he thinks i'm interesting. woo! which also means that he knows who i am! Take that Salona! Now you can't use the argument that he doesn't know who I am. Woo!
Fancy Hotel Bathrobes and Faith
Wowness. I am in utter shock.
I was going to write to you all out there about the return of Gary and Chlamydia - but no, when I went to go check the "Ben Lee Blog" this morning, i nearly fell off my chair.
The other day, Ben Lee wrote... "i always chuckle to myself over the way people argue about religion and spirituality. were all praying to the same god. its a bit like drinking from different rivers that all are connected to the same ocean - they all have the same source."
And I commented back saying something about different gods in a single religion...
AND THEN!!! today I do my daily ritual of checking emails/blogs/ben lee-ness and I see he has written this...
FAITH
after my sweeping statement about the essential unity of all spiritual/religious beliefs, em raised an interesting point:
"But what about the religions that don't particually prey to a specific "god" or one at all?"
here is how i see it.
in ancient india, people worshipped a myriad of different gods. often these would be represented physically by an image or idol. some people would even see divinity in a stone, and dedicate their whole lives to that "stone". to them, that was god. yet there was a general harmony between people of the "hindu" faith - you wouldnt have in-fighting about which god, image or stone was a better representation of the divine! the point was, that it wasnt the particular "god" that was important, it was the faith evoked in the believer's devotion. it was the intensity of that faith that created peace in the life of the devotee.
i think we can learn a lot from this. in my opinion, no one in this world is a true atheist (not believing in anything). everybody believes in something. it can be god, money, surfing, music, relationships, knitting, thai food....whatever it is, everyone knows the feeling of faith and devotion. its this faith that will bring us peace. so even though one particular religion or practise might not acknowledge "god" in a literal sense, they still have an idea, or a ethical structure that they believe will bring them joy. this is their faith.
i dont sweat the details. when i meet somebody, the part of them that i really want to connect with is their faith. if they are an obsessive toy-train collector - thats what i want to hear them talk about! i want to witness the depth of their passion. i try to focus less on the object and more on the experience. every spiritual text is essentially a story of faith (and then surrender - but thats another blog entry), and the great spiritual minds of history all teach the same thing - that through finding your faith, you can move mountains.
on that note, im going to find some breakfast.
big love
bl
Insightful stuff eh! BUT DID YOU SEE THE FIRST PARAGRAPH!?!?! Let me refresh your memory... "em raised an interesting point" - YEY!!! (that's ME!!!)
Heh. excitement. Apparently I am also the proof that Ben Lee reads the comments people leave. Because there has been much argument about whether or not he reads them. And well, HE DOES!!! YEY!!!
Good point about being an athiest though. I mean, if you put love and passion into one single thing then pretty much in general you are putting your entire soul into it. Whether it being music, romance, or even just life and surviving. Something that has been in the news a fair bit recently is Poverty. People in extreme poverty wouldn't have anything like "money, surfing, music, relationships, knitting, thai food" and in some cases i would assume they would have given up on "god" and religion, so what else to they have to put their entire soul and love into, but life - and living, and trying to survive on the little they have. (not that I'd call life little, but compared to fat old us in middle class suburban melbourne - but hey.)

p.s and i think Ben Lee has been to this blog. how embarrassing! (although it could have been someone else in america that looked at his blog like 20 mins before he posted that post.)

Last night I had the weirdest dream! I can't remember much of it now, but it started like this...
Oh, before I start, i thought I should make this clear, I think (as in, i'm not sure) but i think i was salona in the dream (yes, i love her so much that i want to BE her.
)
Yes... here we go. I/Salona (but i shall refer to Salona as "I" from now on. man this is sad, i am going to get such hard time from now on because I dreamed that I was Salona, even though there is no evidence that I was Noni, just that I can't imagine me in this situation.) - Was with Lavania and Bikash, and I was looking at Lavania's Drivers License or some from of Green ID card, except it was not just her face in the card, there was this other man as well, and I go to Bikash, "hey, who's this dude?" and then he started to tell me about Lavania's ex-boyfriend/guy in the photo. He looke kinda like a cross between The Rock and The Thing. Wait. I'll find pictures.

Hot stuff eh? Well anyway, they were like the hottest thing in hollywood, and the paparazzi all wanted their photos. Anyway, when Bikash started telling the story of how they were the hottest thing in hollywood, we were all transported back to the past, when Lavania and the Rock/Thing were the couple of hollywood. So yes.
I think it was like "the night before christmas" style, like, i could see everything that was happening, but noone else could see me. Anyway, the paparazzi were chaseing the Rock/Thing and Lavania and we suddenly appeared in the hotel thing that Gracie Hart (Miss Congeniality) was in when she saw the "fake" dolly parton.
Ok. yes. it was much more vivid this morning when i started writing this post, but then i went shopping with my mother, and i've forgotten it all. Damn.

"so i, i turn round, 'oh baby i don't care no more! i know this for sure, i'm walking out that door'"
Hmmm... the Channel 9 telecast of Live 8 is about to start in a few seconds. 4 minutes to be precise. I hope they play Muse, Pink Floyd, Kyo, Travis, Placebo, The Cure, Audioslave, Tegan and Sara and The Stereophonics. Mmm... if they played all of them, i would be very happy indeed.
Yes... so it is about to start therefore i must go as i need to get a good position on the couch.
- Em xoxo
----------------------------------------
After the Telecast
Ok. damn. I am very unhappy. They only played Pink Floyd from my list (but i think it was the best gig they televised) - although i was pleasantly surprised with Madonna. I thought she was very good. Annie Lennox on the other hand. meh.
And i did briefly see the stereophonics at the end... i think. HOW CUTE WAS THE AFRICAN CHILDRENS CHOIR!?!?! talk about munchkins!

and i want a TV embrace - and i, i'm getting off your boiling plate
Well, haven't I had an interesting day/night. Meh. Prefer not to disclose info about my night and morning... but today, I met with Amy and we went to Acland Street to go CD shopping. And oh my... I love Rare Records. I didn't buy any CD's, but I did hpwever buy the Ben Lee Jigsaw Puzzle i've been after for ages, and I also got a "Cigarettes Will Kill You" badge (it's the title of one of Ben's biggest songs - I'm not trying to make some sort of statement.) It's really hot. I'm going to wear it everywhere with my Ben Lee T-Shirt and ahh... yeah. So I'm happy with that.
For future reference (e.g christmas time and my birthday) you can buy me presents from THIS list. Yes... Indeed. I think i can safely say the same thing for Amy.
Amy did actually buy something of importance and/or value. She got this AWESOME tori amos record. It is pink vinyl!!! But i don't think she'll ever get to see the pink-ness as it is sealed, and I assume there is some "rare vinyl law" that says something about not opening sealed cases. So yeah. I was bummed, i've never seen any other colour vinyl other than your standard black. So hmm.
Then we had lunch at the Felafal Kitchen... mmm... 'twas good. And then we missed like 3 buses home, but we finally got the 600 to church street. When we got off there was this crazy drunk man like 50 metres behind us, yelling and going crazy. He was walking really fast and he was catching up to us, so when we got around the corner we ran (like 10metres, but still, he was damn scary).
Then I came home to an empty house. Sadness, and i thought my mother would be super mad at me for sneaking out last night... but i don't think she even realised I was missing. Meh.

p.s Amy found her new husband! ;)

Servings per Package: 1.5 - Why can't you just make it ONE!!! or at least half! I'd be happy with half.
My soup looks like gross again. Kinda like baby vomit this time. You know how baby vomit is all white kinda? well... it looks like my Mushroom Soup with CROUTONS!!! I'm not sure what the croutons would represent in the Baby vomit synonym, but yes... i shall let your minds wander.
I feel as though I haven't posted in a very long time, but it's only been like two days or something. Ahh, my life is sad, i haven't even done much in that time to make it seem like ages. Or maybe thats just it, maybe I have been so bored, it feels as though time has stopped. Meh.
Yesterday I went on quite a pleasant little picnic in the botanical gardens. We found a quaint little pergola/rotunda thing and ate under that. We had quite the buffet lunch. I am addicted to Conors potatoe salad. It is to die for! I told him to make me a giant bowl of it for my 18th. I doubt he or I will remember though. Meh. what do i care.
A particular someone came... that I did not approve of, and i was mid yelling at the person who invited the particular someone when that particular someone came up behind us. V.Embarrassing. Hmm...
And then the person that I invited to come decided to not show because they were too busy bawling their little eyes out! DIDDUMS!!!
Then we packed up because we were all freezing our little titties off and we went home. Except someone didn't screw the lid on the cordial properly, so my entire green safeway bag got drenched in rasberry cordial. YUM! But now all my wallet and personal belongings are pink. Hmph. Meh, it was my fault for not checking, so only I am to blame.
This morning I had to get up at 8.30am (!!!) because I had a 7 hour (yes, count the hours! 7!!!) babysitting gig. Love the kids, they are brilliant. The eldest has a IQ well over the minimum to join MENSA, and well... the little girl is just sweet. The first time i babysat them, the genius boy beat me at chess (not that hard to do as it's me... but he is 7! thats a fair effort!). But don't stress guys! This time i beat him at some racing game on his Playstation: EVERY GO!!! yey! go team babysitter!!! WOO!
And yes. I just went and saw the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants movie. Oh my, i haven't had a good laugh like that in a long time. Ah, it was brilliant. Predictable storyline (even though I've read the book... but the others were good at predicting it all) and top grade acting skills all round. (note sarcasm... except for Alexis Bledel, and the chick from Joan of Arcadia - I Love them. Oh, and Paul - HOT STUFF! hahahaha!)
Yes indeed. So that is my entire 2 days that have been called Thursday and Friday.
- Em xoxo
p.s Pinch and a Punch for the first of the Month!!! hehe!
p.p.s General Fritz - thanks for ruining my dreams! :P
