some good news

well, i got a quote on fixing Jose for about $4000.00
NO THANKYOU!
however, i was almost about to fork over the money when...
i was talking to jon who was at work (jon works with me... well, he used to. he's gone off to greener pastures now.) and he told tommy (another IT dude at work) about the quote. tommys like, "get fucked, i'll call my brother/cousin/relation/thing."
relation of tommy gives me a quote yesterday of $2900

so thats a saving of either:

• a new snorkel, fitted professionally plus money left over for painting the front of the jeep where i accidentally ran into the petrol station and scraped some paint off the plastic bit.
  
• uni books for 2.5 semesters
