the bus and anarchy (i love toucans)
im lame. i just walked in the door and rushed to find the powercord for my laptop so that i could blog. so uncool.
the 703 bus to middle brighton is always packed at 5 in the afternoon, and today was no exception.
the monash kids pile onto the bus so that by the time that the old bus driver pulls away from the bus terminal, we are all crammed like sardines in a can.
I buy my 2 hour concession ticket, and head to the back of the bus with my fingers crossed in the hope that my favourite seat hasn't been taken yet. As usual, I pass the fat guy that takes up two seats, the dumbass who puts his bag on the seat next to him, the skanks, the lovers, the indians, the muslims and the geeks. the faces basically all look the same. with the majority of the bus being asian. However today, 2 faces stood out more than the others.
The first being the guy who i always see on the bus. and whenever i do see him in the morning, i always seem to be on the same bus home as him. to anyone that went to school with me, he looks like a handsome Jay Shreeve. But he's possibly queer... or just v.metrosexual.
I considered sitting next to him, as well... obviosuly because he's damn good looking and cool. However, the moment I saw the second stand-out face i knew i had to sit with them. (plus the hotter jay guy was sitting in the single seat at the front of the bus... no room for me..)
The other face was staring right back at me, and yes, there was basically the last spare seat next to him. Which doesn't surprise me, because if i didn't actually know Simon, i wouldn't want to sit next to him either.
Yes, I sat down next to Simon Hall. For those that have no idea, Simon is this... freak that went to my school for a few years. He caused havoc, and was eventually asked to leave. He never washed, got thrills from putting people in danger or awkward situations, wore all black and at one stage, he ripped one of his fingernails off then wore it around his neck on a chain. Even though he used to scare me, i always admired Simon. We had our good chats back in year 7. Although, his brain was always way ahead of everyone elses. And... from what i've gathered... still is.
I smiled and sat down next to him and asked if he remembered me. "of course i remember you emma!!!" - i was quite surprised at this. I really honestly thought he would have forgotten someone like me. I don't think i'd ever forget someone like simon though.
We spoke about everything. It was really good to catch up with him. I was quite surprised that he kept his hair neater than me, and cleaner. Mind you, thats really not that hard to do. But seeing Simon, and realising he was cleaner than me has now made me want to go and have a long shower straight after this post.
So that is my big news. seeing simon hall. no one would really understand my excitement of this unless they were at st leonards in '99/00/01ish. i wouldnt have been the least bit surprised if i found out simon was dead. but he looks very healthy.
one more thing... what the hell is wrong with people who listen to dance/house music leisurely? i couldn't think of anything worse. sure, maybe its cool to dance to... but to actually listen to? bah! it's barely even music.
one more thing id like to mention. baby seals. curry taco. (totally unrelated to each other)
