third day of uni - in the red
first of all... id just like to say that, for the first time i am impressed with MSN messenger. Because I did a lot of fiddling with eric today trying to connect to the damn Monash wireless network, all my setting have been screwed up. Due to this, MSN wasn't working. SO i ran the troubleshooter, and hey presto - it basically fixed everything for me. v.nifty.
ok so i am officially in the red. like, on my e-banking screen it large red writing it says -$0.09
its quite a shock to how poor i am. It's pay day tonight anyway, but i think a large majority of that will go to pay for uni books, and paying back le mother.
yesss... so, it was the third day of le uni today. it was quite pleasant. got picked up by the geek car at 11.35am. and when i say geek car - that is what it is. Greg, le driver, had his laptop hooked up to the sound system (which might i say is mighty good) and Jon was pimping out all these songs. Later on in the trip when Salona was with us, he pumped out the worlds most embarassing hillybilly remix tune. us girls in the back seat just shrank down in our seats to hide from view.
You can tell we are an IT car, we all have our laptops piled in and the conversation often turnes to VPNs and specs of different things.
First up we had a computer systems lab in the library. I won a prize.
Then we did crap all except work out how to connect to the monash wireless network, and failed miserably.
I then was being grossed out by salona and jons flirting, so i went on a walk around the place... and was grossed out once more as i stumbled upon lachlans older bro, canoodling with his girlfriend on a bench.
I explored some of the central/north east of the campus.. will do some more exploring next week.
after exploring, i headed over to the med-quarter... man that place is scary. I have a crazy computer systems lecture there.
Angus, you'll be very proud of me. We learnt how to use binary and hexidecimal and oct-o-something. I can now officially and successfully write numbers in binary and hexidecimal and decimal...ness...
I sat inbetween georgia and julia - this is a very good idea. they answered all my questions and explained things exactly how they needed to be explained. the lecturer woman is just utter rubbish.
oh.my.god. i just said rubbish... thats what alex says. *shudders*
speaking of which... where is my daily random sms from him?
tomorrow at uni im going to take photos of the place. maybe... if i remember.
as for now... i am going to end this post here as i am terribly unmotivated.
