im a barcode

ok. well. i had a shit day. and im going to blog about it.
the only good thing about today was the company.

i woke up at 7ish and realised i wasn't in a bad mood anymore, so i stupidly decided to treck into the city to go and meet ben lee.
that failed miserably, as i was way too late anyway, and at the wrong place. never trust a ch9 employee to tell you were the ch7 studios are. that is all i have to say on that.
So i ended up walking back to the station and getting lost... then walking all the way back to the telstra dome to see jim. after that short but sweet rendez-vous i rocked on back into the city to buy a blue beater for this weekends trip to the cathedral ranges with Lucy and Jon and other monash kiddies. I also ended up buying these super cool volleys which, might i say are super cool.
On the way to the shopping spree, i met up with Paul... who I just happened to be going to meet after, but i let him go and greet Megan (the third member of our party).
Was this strategically planned that i would spend too much time in Target, and rock up late to our 12.30 meeting at flinders st station, leaving Paul and Megan alone? Of course it was!

After meeting up with them later, we went and checked out the situation at JB Hifi with the signing by Coheed & Cambria, which was my main mission for the day.
We got numbers for the queue, and then fucked off because we didnt want to stand around for 3 hours. So we got bubblecups. mine tasted like crap, and looked like boogers.
then we went for lunch and ate it in the gardens. then (fuck. im bored with the blog now. so you can stop reading. it will be v.uninsightful from now on) back to JB where we lined up to see the band. Standing around sucks. However, we were underground... which made the whole experience so much more exciting.

So there we were, the three of us, stuck in a crowd of emo kids. it was possibly one of the scariest moments of my life. they all looked so... emo. *shudders*
But we got to the front of the queue eventually, and made our way up to the signing table. I put down my CD to get signed, and like a flash, it was down the other end of the table. You could clearly tell the band didn't want to be there. I spoke to the bassist (who... before today, i had a crush on) about melbourne, and his time here. he didnt seem to like it all that much. the last guy i spoke to... who i think was the drummer. or maybe he was the bassist, and the first guy was the drummer... i dont know. Anyway... totally unimportant. So the last guy in the band, he was semi social and asked how I was going, and we spoke briefly about easter eggs. The Guitarist, and the lead singer however were silent basically the entire time. They signed, and said nothing. I was really disappointed actually. The whole experience has left me with a negative impression of the band.
Claudio, the lead singer dude, has this awesome hair, and from what i've seen on DVD's and live shows etc.. and awesome personality to match. But today, he just sat slouched in his chair. He didn't even look up at me. I do feel semi-sorry for them though. I'd hate to have 3 hours of signing emo kids paraphanalia, with slight breaks where cool goodlooking kids come to say hi. (eg. me, megan and paul)

After all the excitement of being greatly let down... We went to go and see the men living in the myer windows. Somehow we ended up at the pancake parlour. And after that at some pub, where Megan and Paul met my mate James... and his friends. Then we shot off due to multiple reasons. I think James' friends were angry at us for making them come all the way down to where we were. Meh. like i care anyway.

I think thats basically the end of my day. All in all, my plans that I made were shit, or never happened... which could be seen as having a shit day. But I actually had a super day. Wow.
And I also wagged Uni. I'm so badass. Almost as badass as paul robinson.

p.s im underground right now.
p.p.s i just remembered, like 4 hours after posting (it is now 12.05am the next day) that one of the other highlights of my day was waiting around at the telstra dome waiting for james, whilst reading the notebook. it contains words like flexing, bulging, unbuttoned. there were even the words "country boy" and "erotic" in the same sentence at one point. oh man, its awesome.
