The Byron Blog #12
Have had a tres bien day.
Got up early and went for a swim. The water is so beautiful. Met a nice young man down there, no name though.
After that, Kate and I went down to Byron Town and bought various objects, inc. cheap fake wees. v.amusing. Then Kate & Moi split and I met up with Charlotte for breakfast. We bummed about a bit then came back home and watched Anchorman. (v.amusing.) and ate Pizza.
And here I am.
Might go down to the beach, or nap.
And yes, Lucy rocks, no wonder she hooked up with 2 blokes. She's standing infront of me in her bikini. Fuck I wish i had her body.

Would just like to add that Amy smells
real good*. That is all.

Lucy is pretty cool. I think she is going to kick our game out of the water. I also think it's unfair that I get negative points, come one its fucking novelty.....

The Byron Blog #9 (by Lucy)
We all seem to have forgotten about how cool Lucy is. She hooked up with 2 boys last night and is now leading the game!
Lucy Clearly Rocks!
That is all.
The Byron Blog #8 (by Amy)
Would just like to note, was once again awoken by bitchy kitchy at 9am.
Control your voice levels.
Polly kissed a toolie and is therefore on -10 points. That toolie happens to be Michael Corby, but that still doesn't raise her score. Bad Luck.
Beach now, ciao.

Last Night, us underage kiddies tried to get into some sort of drinking venue. No luck. I did try to barge into the great northern, but got caught!
So Em, Lozzy and i hired some DVD's (Dawn of the Dead, Beauty and the Beast, Donnie Darko, Anchorman). So we walked home all sad, chucked on Beauty and the Beast. I lasted 10 minutes and was gone. I FORBID YOU TO ENTER THE WEST WING!

The Byron Blog #5 (by Kitch)
Dear Subscribers to Emma,
This is kitch, as the only boy in this house, I have to say, these girls are pretty messy. Well, I'm on a mission to make sure we don't end up in a slum. Right now, we are ready to go out, almost. The girls are getting ready to go out, I'm waiting for them. I probably won't get into the venue of choice, so I'm set for rejection. I have put my Toto CD on, and I'm enjoying some 80's goodness.
Bye for now!!
xx KITCHY
The Byron Blog #4
Dear Blog,
Today was awesome. Met some pretty nifty people too.
After my morning exercise stupidity (I went swimming, as you know, then I went for a run with Lisa and Lucy. Except I carked it about 5 or so mins in, so I walked to the beach then ran back along the shore to the house. 'twas pleasant.) I met up with some old mates. Charlotte, my best bud from grade 2 -> 4 and Brodz, another awesome mate from grade 4 -> 7 era. Plus this random Caulfield chick called Dita who looked like Steph Judd.
We went and grabbed breakfast at this dandy little cafe Charl knew. I think it was called "brown sugar" - the service was v.slow but le food was ace.
Meditteranean BLT. Yum!
Then some more caulfield kids joined us, I only knew 2 of them though. We split later and Charl, Dita, Drodz and I went cruisin' the streets of Byron Bay. It's a pretty awesome little town. We got loads of freebies which was awesome. I found the BEST chocolate shop in the whole of regional NSW. mmm...
Dita, Brodz and I also bought headscarves from this awesome place which sold herbs.
Then came the crazy hippy dancing in the park (I have footage) which turned into crazy hippy dancing through the streets of Byron Bay.
Later we went back to Brodz, Char and the Caulfield kids' caravan park for some good stuff. We found a turkey who had trashed the pateo setting. Then we hitchiked back to my place so I could get my bathers and then we went for a swim at Clarks beach across the road.
Dinner was super, Lisa made risotto which was yum. And here we are, sitting around, about to go out. woo.
I think we're going to some backpackers place, then somewhere else. over and out.
The Byron Blog #3 (by Amy)
Hello readers of Emma's not-so online blog! The regular author (sex-bomb Em) is out with her cooler friends in town so I am taking over with the documentation duties while she's out.
I heard a quote once that was "only ever go away with people you love" so i feel like that's ringing true for me here in Byron Bay. We're all having fun together so far, despite the supermarket arguments of yesterday.
Today I was rudely awoken at 9.00am by Kitch's god forsaken Jamie Cullum CD and eexercise-keen people ready for a morning run. No thanks.
So Kate and I went shopping in town, buying Byron bay out of it's jewellery supply and contemplating tattoos. We made a few friends and saw the most attractive person ever created while visiting my friend Alex C at the backpackers, she pointed ot a fellow guest that was to be her future husband. He is, in a word, perfect, or as we now say, "6 cups worth."
He's english, so kate and i have called him Winston. Will be going to visit Alex more often from now on.
Over & Out.

The Byron Blog #2
I dyed my hair last night. Woo! Kate did it.
let me tell you a bit about kate. [ok, no i can't it needs to be scanned, but i will do that when i get home]
She's also fully sic!
Last night everyone decided to be boring and stay in. But Kitchy and Kate eventually went around to le neighbours house. Le neighbours are le mals. as is major malfunction. we have words for people that are hot, ("h" or "i") those that are not ("mals" - derived from the term "maller") and those that are gay. ("k")
I hear movement downstairs, maybe someone will come and keep me company. YOu see, I decided to get up early (8.15) and go for a swim in the ahhh... atlantic (???) ocean.
Back to last night, so Kitchy & Kate went to check out the talent next door. Then Lucy, Polly, Chrissy and myself had to go and save them. There are about 10 guys next door, but I can only remember Bruno, Ben and Burger. Bruno is possibly "k" and kate thinks Ben is totally "i" and the rest of them are all mega "mals"
I think Polly is awake, I can hear her coughing and spluttering downstairs.
let me tell you about la maison (house) - walk in the front door and you'll be in the living room. There is this mega cool lounge and table and stuff, then up the stair is the kitchen. ahh fuck it. i'll just draw a floorplan.

Byron Blog #1 - DJ983
Sup all? I'm in an internet Cafe on Wednesday, but i've been making a blog on schoolies, which i've documented in a notepad. Other people have made entries too, so the next few days will have some pretty random entries. here is the first:
So here I am, on flight number DJ983 (or something like that) to Coolangatta. Virgin Blue is pretty nifty, so far I am impressed. No hot flight attendants. I'm sitting in between Chrissy and Lucy, and they are pretty hot, so I guess that makes up for it. Chrissy is listening to MJ at the moment, whilst our flight is over... clouds and trees and shit. Lucy got a new camera yesties. It's pretty dandy, shes reading the manual now.
Speaking of dandy. I am listening to the Dandy Warhols now. v.good plane music.
The inflight magazine has Anthony Lapaglia on the cover, so I might steal it for Megan. Or maybe on the way back. It also has an "interview" with Karl from Kisschasy, and Megan loves him, so theres an even better reason. That reminds me, I have to call le mother and ask her to save the sunday life mag.
Oh! a game!
bum- arm
- leg
- toe
- ear
- lip
- eye
- rib
- hip
titlidpit- gum
- jaw
YEY! WE WON THE INFLIGHT GAME!!!
Virgin rocks! They just had a game, to see who could name 10 body parts with 3 letters. In the end, Chrissy, Lucy and I had to collaberate with Polly and Kitch, but we beat the rest of the plane. WOO!
We are about to start our decent now, so I shall end this update.
A toute a l'heure!

-------------------------
Ok. we just got our prizes. I got fridge magnets, kitch got lipbalm, polly got card (but they swapped) and lucy got the best by far - a stubby holder. so jealous.

to my readers
i am going away for 10 days. and i don't think i have internet access where i'm going (schoolies - byron bay, for all those totally ignorant of my life) however, i will fins a public library or something, and if i can't then i'll just write down my thoughts and put them up later.
So to all my hardcore readers, which happens to be just 1 lone person, and thats angus, and he just reads it because he's polite. Yes, so as i was saying, to my avid reader, i shall be gone. And i wish you the best of luck on camp, stay safe - don't take any risks, unless Tom is in your group. Well, maybe then thats not a good group, we need lachlan back in one piece. and when i say "we" i mean.. "i" - singular.
have fun kids! I sure will!

Happy Birthday to...
POLLY!
Happy 18th Polly!
She is now 18 years old and 31 minutes. woo!
le all age crusade
Yesterday was a pretty fab day.
Megan, Amy and Moi went all the way to Maryborough to see some awesome bands play. But when we got there the tickets had sold out, plus we had nowhere to stay the night. So we drove around a bit, saw Frogmore, Romulus' ghost, Rusha the Cow, a grave for chickens, Maryborough Outdoor Olympic Size Pool etc. You know, all the usual hang out spots up in Maryborough.
So we decked ourselves in flannel, and off we went on the long drive to Maryborough.
Here is a picture of me with the map.

and here is a sign to our destination.

At one of our pitstops for a re-fuel, we actually saw some of the band Kisschasy, who we were going to see, at the servo. So we got our photos taken with sexy Darren "hump boy" Cordeux and co. I will post the pictures as soon as they have been uploaded.
Here is us at our destination.

When we got to maryborough and found that the tickets to the gig had sold out we decided to check out the Maryborough Olympic Pool.

After that we decided to check out a very famous landmark in Maryborough; and that is the place known as Frogmore - where the legendary Romulus and Raimond Gaita lived for many years.
Here is a picture of Megan and drug fucked Me outside Frogmore. People said it burnt down, however there is a memorial house in its place now. On the house is some lovely artwork that Raimond made as a child.

Here is the barron landscape.

And here is Rusha the cow, and her babies, and her babies' babies.

Now, I can hear you all saying to yourselves, "but what about the tree that symbolised Christine Gaita's isolation?" well, we found it. Here is me with the tree.

And remember those chicken that had to be buried alive? here is me with that grave of chickens.

On our way back to central Maryborough, we came across an interesting pothole. It was indeed that very pothole that Romulus stacked his sunbeam in. Here is me feeling Romy's pain.

And no trip to Maryborough is complete without seeing Cairn Curren Dam.

And who did we see as we left olde Maryborough? Romulus' Ghost on the ol' Sunbeam Motorbike...

And we arrived back home in one piece, a little excited, a little spooked, and a little sad - but safe none the less and ready to rock on to Neils party.

Liberation is short, but oh so sweet. Part 2

Liberation Part 2

it's the best feeling in the world, even if they are slimey and gross feeling. and what the crack is with the damn piece of metal they stuck on the back of my teeth. soo annoying. not that i should complain, because... THE BRACES ARE OFF!!!
and today i also had an interview with Swinburne - it was a lot of fun. i liked it a lot! and i think i went really well too! :D

aaannnddd...
ok, as it turns out i shouldn't have been nervous. i had an awesome time. and woo, its official now. so no hiding my paedophilia any longer.
crap... i had something else to say. but i forgot.
i'm getting my hair cut on friday. so you cunts better notice.
ok. i'm about to leave on my outing to frankston. and i'm nervous. i've never been nervous around lach before. maybe its a sign. or maybe theres just more pressure now. i don't know. AH!
Tuesday, November 22, 2005
and... yeah. whatever.
I haven't had many substatial posts recently. I feel like I don't need to, and the fact that this blog was basically just a tool for procrastinating doing my homework and study - it really has no use to me. But don't think that is the end of le blog. i plan to keep this baby until i'm 56. Then when I turn the magical age of 57 i'll finally be able to telepathically broadcast my thoughts to the world, and i'll be able to read peoples thoughts back. thats what my mum does at least, she can read my comments on her actions, and then telepathically rebut my comment.
- This time in 2 hours (if that makes any sense) i'll be at work, standing on my sore feet and being told what to do by a large russian.
- This time tommorrow and a bit, I'll be off on my first "official" date with lachlan. should be fun, we're going to savers and officeworks in frankston. thats pretty dandy.
- This time on thursday I would have just finished onee of the most important interviews of my life. its the interview to my #1 university preference. and i'm really super nervous about it.
- This time on thursday and in a few hours, I will be getting le braces off.
- This time on thursday, in a few hours, and after le braces getting off ceremony, I'll be off to le nepean hotel avec all my friends, my friends families, and my teachers (hopefully) to have a rockin' party without le Roger.
- This time of Friday I'll be sulking. But I guess now I can go to neils party, which shal be good. Amy and Megan, we have to take After the Fall and Kisschasey and Gyroscope CD's to neils and get them played.
- This time on Saturday I'll be working again, because fucking Ann Louise decided to come back from her hole so all my shifts got screwed around because they need more experienced people, and Ann Louise isn't experienced, and apparently I am. so poo.
- This time on Sunday I'll be packing for Schoolies.
- This time on Monday I'll be arriving at Cooly airport for one of the best 10 days of my life. (hopefully)
And the rest of my life is going to be too shady to predict. so there.
Monday, November 21, 2005

angus is away for a week and he's missing all the excitement. didn't he like partially organise the dinner?
So, after yesterdays sadness, i am back to be normal me. a few things have been semi sorted out. but not really.
You see, the Valedictory Dinner got cancelled. Everyone is outraged, including the students, parents and teachers. So there is mass anger on all accounts, all anger is being directed to our principal, in the forms of letters, emails, phonecalls, letterbombs, letter to the editors, phonecalls to radio stations, television stations etc.
There is anger umong the class of 2005 let me tell you.
My other anger yesterday was finding out that my interview with swinburne for my #1 uni preference is on at the same time as when i was supposed to be getting my braces off. so at the moment it looks as though they are coming off AFTER spriggen schoolies.
now, my brunch has arrived. who doesn't like greasy food to nurse a hangover. mmm...

voldemort can't stop the rock
today just keeps getting better and better. it turns out i didn't have to wait out in the boiling sun for the postman - i just got an email from swinburne uni telling me that i've been selected for an interview for the
B.I.T scholarship course. i'm so happy. thats one step closer to eternal happiness for me. next hurdle is the 86.00 ENTER score that i won't get. damn.
save ginny weasley weasley from the basilisk
hello all.
i've been awake for about 45 minutes, and already i've had a great day.
the first thing i do in the morning, is check my email. I have to check my email in order, as do i have to do everything else... like checking blogs, forums etc...
Anyway, I read through all the people that had emailed me overnight, and their subject headings. There are about 4 emails that interest me, but alas i have to open Angus' one first, as thats the order I do it in (oldest, to newest)
I had emails this morning from a Neil, Lachlan, Amy (kinda) and Myspace, plus a plethora of other less exciting ones.
I was really excitied to open the one from Neil because I thought it was Neil from school and I wanted to know what he was emailing me about. But it turned out to be Random-Stranger Neil.
Remember the days when I used to get spam on here? Well, now they have found a way to personalise the spam and send them straight to my inbox. That's something that the damn word verification can't stop. BAH!
here is what Neils email said.
Hi Emma,
I just thought I'd let you know I find the posts on your blog very
interesting. Did you design the template yourself? Do check out my blog at
www.chelsea4life.blogspot.com if you are into football. Emma try this new
blogging software called Qumana, it lets you post right from your desktop,
so you don't have to sign into Blogger every time, it's got some other
amazing features too. It's a free software which you could download from
www.qumana.com. Do let me know if you like it.
Cheers!
Neil
Now, I like football, but his blog was all about that "soccer" thing. Although it seems that his team is the equivalent to my AFL team - the Blues. so woo!
So Neil, with his flattery and politeness, sold me with his idea of this "quamana" mumbo jumbo - and i'm using it right now. But we'll just have to see how this one turns out hey.
The email i got from Lachlan amused me, but we won't go into the details of that ;)
And Amys email made me laugh also, boy shes a funny girl. and i guess it wasn't really an email, just more like blogger sends me an email whenever someone posts a comment.
Although, i went onto their page, and the music wouldn't play. However i did notice that they were friends with the band
Harry and the Potters - their music does play, and its pretty crap, but the lyrics are to die for, its brilliant!
Here is a picture of harry and the potters, not really necessarry, but i have to try out this new blogging software from neil, and the way it handles images is important.
ok. so it doesn't do pictures as well as blogger. sad. actually, upon publishing, the image didnt work at all - so i have re-done it in blogger, that is why you can now see it. but i like everything else about the program.
Anyway, that was my email excitement for the day. now i have to go sit outside and wait for the mailman - i'm expecting super important mail this week which could either make or break a roadtrip to frogmore.

It's Time For...
What to buy Emma for Christmas and/or her Birthday!
So, it's now the 8th of November - that means it's 47 shopping days until Christmas. (shopping days is actually code for "send your wishlist off to Santa days")
Last year I wrote a list for my mother of things that i wanted for Christmas/Birthday, but she decided to "be sneaky" (sneaky is code for heartless) and not get me a single item on my list.
So this year, even though she doesn't read this blog, and if she does, I will find out... so this year, i have decided to make a list. At the moment she knows what my top two are, so I needn't put them down on the list. But for anyone else out there, especially my American friends (who neglect to comment! grr!) who have decided to be extra generous to me... fuck. my eyes are sore. i think the conjunctivitis has spread to the other eye... anyway - extra generous people can get me these (in no particular order).
- JD's Lesbian Utopia Calendar 2006 you can get that here, just check out the sneak preview...

- Trombone stand (that reminds me, i had a really weird dream last night where Mr Bain was trying to make a brass trio to play at the Hamer Hall)
- The Walls EP - by the Red Paintings
And... i think that is all for the moment. remember my birthday is in April, so you can start saving for that one too. And i don't mind getting a calendar for my birthday either, but warning - JD's calendar sells out REALLY quickly. so i might just have to buy it for myself.
That is all.
oh... and if Amy asks... it's actually the 17th of November today, due to half of the world exploding.

on this day
in 2005 - Emma saw her first $73 trombone.

my obsession #296
i have to work 10.5hours tomorrow - thats 7am to 5.30 - opening to closing. this bugs me. but i need money.
anyway, to get me through days such as tomorrow, all i have to do is think about my latest obsession.
this latest one isn't in a rock band, a movie, nor a TV show. They are not associated with a book, brand or product. The latest obsession is actually a 17 year old boy in year 10.
And no, it's not the obvious Lachlan... it's actually his best friend; Thomas Anderson.
One day he is going to look his name up on google and find this blog. so Hi Tom!
Let me tell you all about Thomas.
- He plays the tuba
- He doesn't mind being called "Tom" but when you write his name it has to be "Thomas"
- on speech night he forgot his tuba mouthpiece, rendering him incapable of playing - so our music teacher was sitting there drastically writing the tuba part up an octave so that he could play toms part on the trombone.
- throughout the year in my VCE brass group, he consistantly forgot his sheet music. so i bought him a folder, reminded him every rehearsal to bring it.
- on the morning of my music exam, he lost his music. i found it in a music box. it had been sitting there from the week before. proving my case that he didn't practice
- Thomas is doing Group Music next year.
- My brass group plays an arrangement of "The Pink Panther" - Thomas complained about his part in this, as i too agree it was difficult. Thomas also had a solo arrangement of "The Pink Panther" - the two arrangements were basically identical. This said, Thomas can play the solo version perfectly, yet he still refuses to play the jazz quintet version. Even his teacher has no idea what stops tom, as he agrees with me, that the two songs have exactly the same notes, rhythm and key.
- Thomas wanted to be a landscape gardener, but after a weeks worth of work experience, he has decided to change career plans to something that doesn't involve work.
- Thomas bought an $80 trombone on EBay the other night, just after his music teacher told him not to buy a trombone as it would fuck up his obrechoure.
- Thomas has a twin brother called Jeffrey. Jeffrey is in the year above Thomas.
- Thomas possibly has another brother, but i have no evidence of this. my spies are working on proving this point.
- Mr Anderson has the same name as Neo's alter ego in the Matrix.
- Thomas likes to hang out in the music school seeking brownie points from Mr Fletcher. Thomas likes to call these points "Fletch points"
- Thomas complains.
- Thomas complains... a lot.
- Thomas never ceases to complain.
- Thomas is a complaining machine.
- Thomas signed my dress when i left school. it said "i will never forget"
- When i asked Thomas to sign my dress, he complained.
- Thomas was/is the only known fan of the devil: Mr Myers.
- Thomas likes to launch rockets.
- At a brass ensemble rehearsal, Thomas decided to bring in his rocket motor things. these are highly dangerous.
- At another Brass rehearsal, Thomas brought in a walkie talkie type machine. like, a really heavy duty type one. i'm not sure who he would call on it.
That is all i can expose on Thomas Anderson at the moment. But the boy never stops entertaining me. Here is a picture of me and Thomas.

Having said all that. Thomas is a pretty neat guy. Really. If i had a choice of meeting Thomas or not, i can safely say i would. Besides, he's not as bad as i make him out to be, he's best mates with lachlan afterall, and that in itself makes him a good bloke.

i found this
and i want to share it with the world. even though i promised i wouldn't put king on here.
i feel fine
you know when you have that feeling where pretty much everything in your life is good?
i've got that feeling now. and i wish i could share it with every single one of you, but i don't know how.
i think i might start with smiling more, even if it results in premature wrinkles.

my mother has lost the plot
the other night - possibly last night, my mother came home from a day shopping in the city. and she bought me a t-shirt. it was a pretty cool shirt, but it wasn't "me."
Anyway, we went to chadstone today to exchange it, because it was from the
mooks store. we rock up at the store and i exchange it for a super cool pair of sunnies. they are kind of similar to the ones in the mooks
website but a different colour.
So naturally, i am a bit suspicious as to whats going on in my mothers head. she has NEVER spontaneously bought me presents before. it was a v.nice surprise, let me tell you.
So we are wondering around chadstone, and she also decides to buy me 2 polo tops, 2 t-shirts and a pair of shorts. WHAT THE CRACK!?!?!?! i swear, she must have had a brain transformation with a cool mother, because my mother certainly doesn't buy me that many clothes in one go. it was freaky i tell you.
I told her before she bought me something from dangerfield, "look, i don't know what crack you are smoking, but i don't owe you anything for this. these purchases are under your own good will" - and she's just like, yeah! of course.
In other news, the conjunctivitis is hunky dorey, and things with lachy are even better. so woo!
I did my psych exam this morning, and my next exam is tomorrow week, so that gives me a bit of time to just chill. i'm 6 exams down, 2 to go! woo hoo!!!
The remainder of this post is going to be about angus; because he is so damn amazing.
i can't give too many details away, because he has the right to tell you his good news himself. but i am so proud of that boy. he is just really cool, and sure his news is really sad at the same time, but it is so fantastic. that boy never ceases to outstand and amaze me. good on you angy!
