heaven on earth
i have just tasted heaven.
I have been waiting for weeks for there to be a almond croissant to be left over at work at the end of the day. and today there was 4. So I took the oportunity and grabbed them all!
My goodness, they are the best things in the entire world. I saved 2 for Isabel tomorrow as it's her birthday, and I ate one and my family got the other. It's your average croissant right, but with a sweet almond paste in the centre, and whole almonds on top, as well as sugar sprinkled on the lot. IT IS TO DIE FOR!!!
On the weekend there are even people that order in the day before these croissants, and i never knew why, other than that they sell out at like 11am and we order in like a rediculous amount each day. But now I feel their pain when they come in and ask for them, and they have already been sold out. *sigh*

Byron at the Beach
Hello All.
I am getting very excited to the end of the year. Infact it's only 23 school days until i am FINISHED FOREVER!!! and then it's exams. woo. And then after that it is... SCHOOLIES!!! YEY!!!
So for anyone out there that would like a tantilising taste of what i am going to be enjoying when I am up there please visit this marvelous creation of beauty
hereOr, if you don't want to read all the fantastic information about how it's "Across the road from Clarks Beach" or how its priced at "$2500 per week" in the "high season" then just look at these dandy pictures.

Yey! I'm SOOOOO EXCITED!!! I want to go now! I want school to be over NOW! So I CAN GO TO BYRON!!!

"your very own stamp collection is something to treasure"
I love reading the posters in the library. They are so cool.
"LIBRARIES!!! explore, and discover..."
"No boundaries, No Limits, School Libraries"
"Libraries: The best things in life are FREE"
and, the best of the lot is...
"Reading Rocks!!!"
So, today is crazy bottoms day and, this year there has been a pretty poor attempt at "crazy" - not that I can speak, I'm not too crazy today, but at east I'm not in my school dress like some pathetic losers!
So I'm sitting hear sweating it out in my beautiful 80's black leather pants and red chuck's. I feel so damn hot. Actually, I do feel very hot, these aren't to be worn on a 19 degree day. However, I do know not to put talcom powder down there incase i get stuck.
There are a few skanks around, like McCarthy is in a tiger print mini-skirt with heels. He looks very... ahhh... "attractive"
Amy's tap outfit is super hot, as is Salonas leopard print leggings.
I remember the days when the teachers used to get involved too, a lot of them would just wear school uniforms. that was trippy, and very confusing for a little 11 year old.
This morning, as in right now I have a double free, which is fun. in the first half i went to the music school to play euphonium, except as a trombone player I sound too much like a trombone player. Eupho has a much softer sound, closer to a french horn, but i just sounded like a trombone player who couldn't gliss. Anyway, i practiced some pieces, which at the end were sounding like they do when I play them on Trombone (smooth and normal.) Euphonium is such a cool intrument, honestly! Its really easy to play, as the slide/valve positions are the same as a trombone.
So that has been my morning. I would tell you about my walk to school, as it was very windy, and a lot of passing motorists cought a glimps of my knickers, But i won't bore you any longer with the details.

p.s for those that know what I'm talkin about, Noel called last night! :D

this is not an exit
something relatively exciting happened to me today. kinda. but it's not very exciting for the rest of you. well, angus will find it exciting. but he finds all of my blog posts exciting. so he doesn't really count.
Anyway, today I was at school at 9.15 - yum! I love ebing at school ont he weekend. It's my favourite past time.
Actually there were some people at school, and a St Johns medical truck thing. You know, like the ones that they have at events and festivals incase people die? And there were some random bands playing in the KWC. And I THINK i saw Jarred and Emily Wheaton there. but It could have been any round guy with black hair with a small girl.
So anyway... back to kayaking. I was at school for kayak training. Although only Jason and bass player Matt (the guy in charlies group) and I were going because everyone else was slack.
We headed off in the mini bus (yes, 3 students and a teacher in a 20ish seater bus) to Ivanhoe.
So... we got there. and then i went down the giant slide, and swung on the swings waiting for the guest coach man to come. that was fun. although the slide wasn't very slippery so i just had to run down it. which was semi fun.
Then from behind i heard a little put-put car come down the hill behind us. Then when it came it to view, it appeared to be a little white thing... a cross between Mr beans car, and the 3 whelled car that keeps turning over when Mr Bean is around. But it was not white, it was actually a mother of pearl type colour. In different light it had a purple and/or green tinge. It was damn cool. Plus it had an awesome boat on top!
Anyway, out of this tiny car came this 6"2-ish muscular guy... it was Warwick Draper! Yey!
now, before you guys wet yourself with excitement, at the thought of Warwick Draper in real life, let me reassure you that he is just a normal person just like the rest of us!
And for those of you that have no idea who i am talking about, Warwick Draper is (i think) Australia's best Slalom Kayaker. He came 9th in the Athens Olympics and 14th at the World Champs, which is pretty damn good when you think about how small the sport is in Aus, and how big it is in the countries that are actually good, like Canada and the US and pretty much all of Europe.
He was also pretty good looking, but before i tried to find a pic of him to show you all, but all the pictures i can find of him he looks like a stunned mullet. so please just go by my word (and don't worry, this guy actually is good looking, he isn't one of my men that no one else other than their mothers find good looking.)
So we hopped in the river and go for a bit of a warm up (which i was very thankful of, as i was very subconscious of my leg hairs infront of the olympian). Then he checked out our sweeps and draws and stuff like that. Then we learnt to pivot (thats when the bow of the boat goes in the water and the tip is in the air and you just pivot around in a circle). That was hard, but i managed to find the sweet spot, and i semi did it. Woo! go me! Yeah! Woo!
Then we went down to the slalom gates and did some nitty gritty things. That was fun. We were down there for like... a long time. 'Twas fun.
Then we came back, although i was getting tired, and paddling up "rapids" isn't too fun when you have no energy. So i got stuck in a passing log, and drifted downstream a bit, then i decided that i should at least make an attempt to get back up the river, so with al my effort i battled up those piss weak grade 1 rapids and managed to catch up with Ben. Go Me!
Once we were back up the top we got out and i managed to bruise my shoulder carrying my kayak back to the bus. Go Me!!!
After I had a long-ish chat with Warwick about kayak clubs. He's setting up one next year some time, and I'm his first member! Woo! Go Me! But i honestly doubt that will happen, nor will I actually be his first member. But he might call me. Woo! the olympian might call me!
So that was my day.

Hello! My name is: Emma. My Carers name is: Carol.
I'm sick of writing about myself. I think that's why I haven't been blogging much recently. Well, the only reason I have been is because I like the look of my own font, and the sound of my own fingers hitting the black keyboard.
So today, I have decided to not write about me, and instead write about those that I like. I will not write "I" or "Me" or "myself" or any other first person words after the end of this paragraph. Indstead, I shal relate to myself, if necessary, in the third person. So here I go. Me, Myself & I (sorry, I just had to write about myself one last time befor I continued)
Amy is one of the most beutiful persons on this planet, if not in the universe. Although it is possible that there is some form of super-beautiful-amazing-sexallent-alien race out in the beyond, but it is highly doubtful that anyone would ever stumble across anyone as special as Amy Chapman.
Amy is the house music captain of Cullen - Cullenites like to dress up in green and pretend that they are crocodiles. Yet they are fabulously smashing dancers!
But being house music captain does not, by far define Amy as a person. To realise how beautiful she is, not only do you just have to stand infront of her, but just being near her you can feel her calm and collected, plus caring aura. Amy is one special person.
An amusing story that hasn't yet reached Amy's ears is that today in Emma's band practice - Lachlan and Emma were talking about Amy and Hamish goes to them both, "is she hot?" - Emma was dumbstruck, as it was quite random to the conversation, however she coolly collected her thoughts and replied with "MY GOD YES! - she's fucking amazing!" And then Mr Bain came and the talk of Amy's hotness was forgotten.
She is AMY-azing - and she is also a super good conductor. She even has a stick thing to prove it! Woo!
Sarah Clark is a superhero. She has been told many times by Emma that Emma wishes that she was Sarah. Sarah came to St Leonards in year 7 her teacher was Mr C, aka. the devil. The Devil put all the old St Leonards students next to the new ones, and Sarah ended up next to Emma, her "buddy." Ahh, good times. Sarah, as I'm sure her school reports say, is a diligent student, she is also mighty good looking. These two things combined are what makes Sarah a superhero.
If Sarah wasn't around, Emma would most likely be dead. The most important thing about Sarah, is her ears. Emma doesn't say it enough, but she desperatly wants Sarah's ears.
Sarah was Emma's friend in French, and in France.
To define Sarah in a word is fairly hard, especially since the word "special" has already been used on Amy. But Sarah truely is a really super special person. Sarah wants to be a physiotherapist. This involves being super dooper smart, more smart than the author of this blog can imagine. And that also defines sarah; super dooper smart.
Sarah is a superhero type superhuman.
Who's next? Emma would really like to write about Jono or Kerrie, or Isabel, Charlotte, Brodie, Kumiko and/or Megan at this point in time, but alas they don't actually read this blog. So their loss!
And Polly's gain! Polly is one of the oldest and best friends of Emma. They met at ripponlea estate in 1996 just near the pond. Polly and her friends tried to scare Emma off by telling her that they were crazy. It worked, Emma didn't speak to polly for a while after that.
Polly is one mega cool person. it's possible to get away with calling her obsessive, as that is her main past-time. Her obsessions have ranged from Geology, Comedians, Football and Rock & Roll.
Polly is one of those people who just randomly is cool. Polly could be so unbelievably uncool, but because she is so unbelievably uncool, it makes her cool.
Polly came into Browns Bakery today, and she bought a hedgehog type thing. Then she got "asked to leave" - and Emma just laughed at her.
Angus... well, Angus. Orginally there was going to be a whole entire post on Angus, but it was thought to be too weird and awkward. So instead, Angus will go in the very prominant position of Emma's list of cool people as well... last. But everyone secretly know's last is the best. Why else would books and movies have the most important twist and shock at the end? Because it's not important to the story? No.
Angus is one of those people that Emma can see herself falling madly in love with in 20 years time and kicking herself for missed opportunities as Angus will be happily married to some really special person (such as Shane.)
Here is an Acrostic poem for/about Angus.
AmbiguousNostalgic (towards Emma)GulagUn-poo-likeSerenadable- Em xoxo
p.s i've been constantly updating this since the 8th of August, so if there are a few out of date things, then please excuse me.

hmm...sah
I just saw the trailer for the new Reese Withspoon movie,
"Just Like Heaven" - it's got Mark Ruffalo *sigh* and Jon Heder, who i think is possibly Napolean Dynamite, or otherwise his brother or just uncannilly the same - and for Darryl-P and Darryl-A... his characters name in this movie is Darryl.
Anyway, the actual reason I saw the trailer is because "Catch my Disease" is in it. So, before it loaded I was like, hmmm... this is going to be really crap. But it actually looks REALLY funny, and cute! So I might try and get free tickets to it so that I can go and see it. (I honestly doubt I will pay money for it.)
- Em xoxo
Update: Jon Heder/Darryl is Napolean Dynamite... and in normal Jon mode he is actually SOMETIMES quite good looking! note how i stressed the "sometimes" - check out these pics.
Look at me!!! and
ME!!! to those that are who i am wanting to tell the following to (chances are if you are reading this, i am not talking about you) well... how much does the first one dress like you and have your hair! (all of it!)

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog
Ok, so I am a super nerd now!
I just made my own font! but it's not just any font... it's my handwriting. (I'm so cool!)
So anyway, you can download my free fonts (plural, because most likely there will be more versions of it, because the current one is kinda pooey)
here.
That is all for today, I must now go and study for my english SAC that is tommorrow.
In other news, which is kinda tha same news, i got a semi-good result for my programming SAC in IT. woo! go me!
Oh, and i successfully managed to get out of my trombone recital this sunday! Go Me!
But it's kind of a bummer, because i worked super hard to get my piece up to performance standard, and now i can't perform it. It was from the Reformation Symphony (no 5?) by Mendelsohn, or however you spell his name. Oh well.

It's Competition Time!
Welcome to the first ever Young & Foolish competiton!
So in conjunction with
Black Tennis Dress, i have come up with this super competition.
Be one of the Black Tennis Dress groupies Emma has to filter!Thats right! I am the groupie filter for the band, so the winner of this competition gets to possibly be one of the lucky Black Tennis Dress groupies, but they also get to go through the rigorous testing program that I have developed for the groupies!
"So how do you enter?" i hear you all ask - it's simple, all you have to do is put your answer in a comment to this post... or if you would like to be discrete, you can
email me the answer to...
How hot is Emma on the scale of 1 to 10?
Good luck all!

hasa may bah ya mai mais!
YELLOW!
So, after much thought about who would win House Music last night, I was quite surprised that Allen won. Blackbird was very good though. And they were very all all round, except for Livin' on a Prayer... that was well... it could have been better.
I thouroughly enjoyed the whole night. 'Twas pleasantly pleasant. Steve was first out on stage, and my god he was good. I would've loved to have been up there on stage with him conducting, it seemed very fun. Then there was the random middle school boy. Well done middle school boy!
Amy was... oh-my-goodness type good! The adudicators thought so too, as my little Amy (who is not so little anymore, she's 18 in 2 weeks! AH!) won best conductor for the massed choir section. WOO HOO!!! She was amazing, and she looked damn hot last night too! Even the bimbo's beside me thought she looked AMY-azing!
Cullen's small instrumental was VERY good! Well, they won so of course it was super good! Lachlan rocked, as always! That boy is my hero. I think I would possibly be dead in some ditch somewhere due to stress if it wasn't for that boy. He also generally takes my side on things in my arguments with Tom too. He's very diplomatic about it though. I think he'll end up in politics. I'll vote for him, even if he's in some extremest "trumpets rule the world" party. He'd be great. Well done Steve and Aims with that! And it was a great, and the adudicator dude loves klezmer music, so that was a super good pick on their behalf!
Actually the bimbo's were quite amusing. During the staff band/choir i overheard them talking about "the hardcore with the chain and the 'trumpet'" - i was quite confused at this because Greg is by no way a "hardcore" and when the tall one followed it up with "i think he's kinda good looking" I was SUPER confused, as this really doesn't describe Greg at all. Then at closer inspection of Mr B, i noticed that he was the good looking man with a chain and a "trumpet."
Bah, ignorent blondes. IT'S A TROMBONE!!! T (for tudor) - R (for roger) - O (for orange is the colour between first and last) - M (for Munro) - B (for Bain) - O (for Orlando Bloom wasn't there) - N (for nelly) - E (for Emma should have been in small instrumental) !!! Anyway, that made my night (only if i forget about Isabel, Amy, Katherine, Paul and Kitch) - ahhh... "hardcore" AND "good looking" hahaha. oh my.
Congratulations are in order for a Mr Christopher Kitchingman, well done dude! You were awesome, and so was Blackbird!
Patto were good. That's about all i can say. I wasn't paying the closest attention as I was eating my danish's. Which were slightly squashed, but still yummy. Everyone go and buy pastries from Browns Bakeries. They are good, great even!
Munro rocked. I really liked here comes the sun, but I was mainly loving it because of Isabels extravagent conducting. It was brilliant. I love that girl. And she looked hot! I love that dress!
But the song apparently wasn't that flash hot as they came last. Sadness. I seriously thought forster would, due to the poorness of our song, but hey, I guess Kat-G got us through in the end! :)
Munro's best performance by far was Daemon. The hype leading up to it was big, and boy, did it live up to it all! Polly, that was an awesome pick dude! Congratulations! I was honestly scared when they all walked onto the stage in their hoods, even though I could clearly see that it was Isabel, Vera and Ally. (I couldn't pick anyone else, oh ,and for those that were wondering, the super tall one with the pointy hood was Mr Tyrell.)
So that was just awesome, it was on the same scale as Oh Fortuna, which forster did 2 years ago (and lost due to the lack of guys - men stuff everything up!)
So that was super.
Then it was Forster, WOO! We came last, as i may have mentioned. Which in the end didn't surprise me. What did surprise me though, was that we won Southland Concerto. That was odd. I'm so happy for paul though, no matter what people say, I think he did deserve that.
Forsters small instrumental was quite good. Originally I thought it was just going to be plain old crap because of Christian. But that was just in spite because they cut me. Then I was told that it was sounding very good, and that we could win. But we didn't. So I was dissappointed due to the hype about it. But hmmm.
Congratulations once again to Paul and Katherine. You guys were super!
Amy, you are probably going to be the only one who reads this that was involved enough to be mentioned, so *HUGS* you were terriffic! (well dah! you even got a pointy stick to prove that!)
I think in 2007 I might go to Hamer Hall and watch House Music again. By then Lachlan will (hopefully) by Cullen Music captain (and Tom won't be), and it will all be super! And forster will win!

geekyness sucks
so i've been playing around with my computer all afternoon after getting 9 CD's in the mail today. 9 CD's that are all the same... so if anyone wants a copy of
Ubuntu then just
email me.
My original idea was to load it onto my old fat computer that was running on Windows 98, then Redhat, then Windows 98 again. But alas the boot-disk didn't work. I originally thought it was because I got a new CD-ROM drive, but then i switched the new drive onto my Dell, and it worked fine. Well... "fine" - that is to say, the disk doesn't really completely work on the Dell for some unknown reason.
Unbuntu is supposed to be really super easy to install, and it's supposed to take less than 25 minutes. But mine just won't work. Damn ugly computers. Oh well, I guess when/if i get a laptop i'll put it on that. because Linux rocks my socks.
The disks did however come with windows versions of some pretty cool linux programs that i've been too lazy to download. Like
audacity and
openoffice.org. So that's good. indeed.
So any nerds out there that want to fix my BIOS problem on my old home-made computer or just the ghey problem on my new Dell, please knock on my door and help.
- Em xoxo
p.s that wasn't an open invitiation to knock on my door and tinker with my electronics. please call first or something!
p.p.s GOOD LUCK TO ALL HOUSE MUSIC PEOPLE!!! especially:
Amy,
Isabel,
Paul,
Kat-G,
Bruce,
Steve,
Ming-Ming and... i'm missing one... allen... oh right...
Sam... meh.
p.p.p.s
GO FORSTER!!!
p.p.p.p.s I was thinking last night, I know i've told the important people this, but yeah - I don't really care who wins tomorrow night, because the people that it means the most to are some of my closest and best friends. So even if forster come last, I know that there will be some smiling faces amongst my friends. Although, don't tell Kitch, but I really hope Allen come last. Amy, Iz and Kat-G (and maybe even Paul) are better than Kitch and Sam combined. Mind you, like Tuba Tom - Sam (in my opinion, sorry to those that like her, but she has always been a real cow to me) detracts from the goodness of Allen, so although Kitch is mighty super, he gets weighed down in my books by Sam.
So I'll be happy if any of Cullen, Munro or Forster win. Although I will be extra delighted if firster take home first. Not that there is REALLY a first, second etc. because we all have such a good time doing it, and it's such a great experience.
p.p.p.p.p.s Amy, you'll be on the same stage as where Tori played! hahaha!

Ah! my hot neighbour just saw me pick my nose! how embarrassing!
What's even more embarrassing is telling the entire world that I just picked my nose. Damn nasal blockage - it'll have the social death of me.
So I just came back from the bank. It was quite a scary experience. I had to open up a new account as well because I needed a debit card at the Bendigo Bank (Bank of Melbourne are poo-heads) so yeah. I was in the queue and creepy snape look-a-like from the railway cafe (not the one that we went to Aims, the one on the other side, going TOWARDS the city. which reminds me, Yesterday I found out that there is a little coffee shop in the station in the little hole bit where you buy your tickets.) called Nicholas. I walked in and I didn't see him at first, so I did my withdrawal buisiness, and i jumped in the queue (like i just said) and he turns around and smiles at me. *shivers.*
What makes it even worse is that I was wearing my school uniform, so that probably gets him going even more. hmmm...
Then I was in Safeway (NOT having lunch for any suspicious people out there) and there was this really creepy kid who looked just like young malfoy. Except he had eye brows like this => ^ ^ <= they were really creepy.

one or more wireless networks are available
ahhh... IT is so odd. Nick Smith is tapping at the door, and everyone is laughing at him. I would laugh too as the sight is quite pathetic, yet the movement of my lungs, ribs and general body is too exhausting. So I have decided to just keep with my normal typing habits.
Boys are so immature, especially IT boys. ugh. nerds. (says the one who wants to spend the rest of her life infront of a computer. *sigh*)
Salona is next to me and she's looking at the monash site. it's a purple site, so I'm guessing its about the IT deptartment.
She's looking at the class stucture of.... ahhh, yes. B. Business Information Systems. Good times. Las week I went to the open day at Monash Clayton, and man, it's giant. I really don't want to go there, I'd much rather study somewhere smaller, even if it's still a big uni like Swinburn. Just GIANT universites like Melbourne and Monash are just way too busy for my liking.
Hmmm... so the bell just rang and I need to go home, slash go to the bank so that I can get money for tickets to the FALLS FESTIVAL!!! WOO!!!

Every day at work, there is this guy from the railway cafe/restaurant (you know the one brighton people! - the one we always want to go into but we always have to catch a train when we are there, and then we forget about it when we are in church st and want food.) and his name is Nicholas. He, as my boss puts it "is a creepy womaniser" - and it's 100% true. He is creepy, and he is sleazy.
He has greasy slick black hair and a really sinister face just like Professor Snape from Hogwarts.
So before the other day he just scared me. But now that I found
this I just can't help but laugh when I see him. I literally have to go out the back of the shop and have a good chuckle.
Today it was brilliant. Camille went out to get his bread (he gets his bread 4 sliced ciabattas, wholesale from browns, so he is special... and whats really annoying is that he always gives a $100 buck note for something that only costs $12.00 - so you have to take the money out of the till, then do the whole she-bang) so i went to serve the other man in the store, but he was talking to Nicholas, so i'm like "are you two together?" and the guy goes, "yeah, I'm with Nicholas" - in this dark and european accent. This almost set me off, I was just imagining Snape "doing his little turn on the catwalk" but i contain myself, then Nicholas goes to me "oh, we're not TOGETHER, together." and then he gives me this sleazy wink. IT WAS GROSS!!! so i'm just thinking to myself "sexy snape, sexy snape, sexy snape" and then i went behind the coffee machine and quitely laughed whilst eating my muffin.
Ahhh... sexy snape. you can read my post about sexy snape
here. I've been listening to the sexy snape song in the background for about 2 hours now. It never tires.

professor snape is my master
ok people, before you die, you HAVE to see this animation type thing. If you've read harry potter, seen the movies then my god you just can't move an inch before you see
this. I'm not sure if you have to be a member to view the animation, but it should work.
The best past is at the start where he's stroking himself. Or wait... no! The best part are the dancing snapes in the background after he strokes himself at the start. My god it's brilliant.

my plan is all falling into place. bwah ha ha haaa
I'm happy, I just ran my entire (minus a couple) set for my music exam. Without the others I have approx 17.55 minutes. So with the others my time will go up to about hmm... 24.35 minutes, then if you count farting around the stage and talking to the examiners, and tuning... we are up around the 30 minute zone! WOO HOO!!!
Now my only problem is a 2nd Trumpeter. Hamish is going to Europe/America/Asia for a couple of months, so we need to replace him. Greg suggested Luke, who came along to rehearsal today and well... hmmm...
I think I might grab Rosie if Luke doesn't work out. Rosie is my hero. She hasn't done anything super that I've noticed. But I just like calling her my hero. Plus in stage band she ads a little bit of sanity to the trombone section, and she talks to Jono, which I tend not to do in the wee hours of the morning. So that was my little dedication to Rosie. Which is quite odd as I think I have barely said 3 words to her. Nice girl though. Smart girl. Very smart girl.
I got my braces almost off the other day, but then they weren't straight enough so the evil woman put these whack rubber things on instead of the metal. So my teeth are caining me. Although I think that either my trombone or my music teacher has special powers as before my lesson the other day my teeth were so painful, then I got there and the pain almost disappeared that is until I left the music school when the pain just hit me. Sure, there could be a logical reason like the pressure of my mouthpiece was soothing, and then due to all the pressure, afterwards there was extreme pain. But I think I would prefer to think that Mr Bain is magical.
I'm getting really excited about Schoolies, yet sad at the same time because I won't be spending it with Salona and Megan. However, I'm going to have an awesome time in Byron and Nimbin. It's going to be awesome.
Then at New Years I'm really considering going to the Falls Festival. I wasn't orginally but then I found out that the Dandy Warhols are going to be there!!! AHHH!!! I love Courtney Taylor-Taylor!!! Actually, I love al of them. That are just so damn awesome! mmm...
Plus the Vasco Era will be there, they are pretty awesome. Except on the
falls festival website they spelt their name wrong. Also there that are totally worth seeing are the Beautiful Girls and the Shins. mmm... it shal be good if I do end up going. man, I'm already pumped... damn.
Now I must go and transpose yet even more music. ugh. sibelius must die.

p.s can someone please remind me that I have a rehearsal with Ms Belkin next thursday at 2pm!!!

happiness is short lived.
ok, so after the excitement of a headlining show, I have just been informed that the 20th of October is the day before the last day of school. that means, no ben lee for me :(
Or, i can have fun with all my buds, then rush off for an hour or three, then come back and get super smashed just in time for sleeping on the beach! woo! Ok. I have a plan!
- Em xoxo

happiness at last!
I just found that Ben Lee will be playing at the Palace on the 20th of October - And he's Headlining!!! WOO HOO!!!

I knew it. TRUST!!! AHHH!!!
Hmm... i knew this would happen. I'm not crying this time though. I still have to weigh up all the possibilities.
The Missy Higgins and Ben Lee show is on the 31st of October. That's right smack bang in the middle of exams. It's the day of my Maths exam actually, and the day before the Melbourne Cup holiday. I'm thinking of going, i mean my exam finishes at 1.30. So i can get to the Sydney Myer Music bowl by 5 (the starting time) easily. But I'd probably leave right after Ben finishes so I can get home and sleep. mmm... precious sleep.
So if anyone is interested in coming with me (out of my friends... no weird strangers please!)
email me. I know Music Styles finishes on that day at 5.15 pm so that knocks out my two Ben Lee buddies, Amy and Iz. How sad. Maybe I'll go with my Mum.
Those that are interested, it's all ages too I think, so keep that in mind.

Tales from Les Sables D'Olonne
In 2003 I went to france. And if you are a regular subscriber to this blog, you may have read about Klaus, the gay german that I stalked in france. Well here is another tale from France. This is the tale of when I smuggled drugs in France.
When we arrived at our sister school in France, Sainte Marie du Port, a private school that has borders and tertiary students, we were picked up by our host students. I had a midget girl called Manue, and well... her tiny family. I was the tallest my at least a head. They were v.small.
Anyway, that weekend (I think we arrived at school on a thursday or a friday) was quite interesting. On the friday, in my diary all i wrote about the incident was "we then met some friends at a corner of a street. Stuff happened" - how informative I am!
Anyway, what happened was my french student, Manue and I were met where I left my Aussie friends by a little boy and his bisexual friend, who told me to call her Maman Bondieu. We then jumped on the scooter things (in france you can ride a motor scooter at the tender age of 14.) We ended up in the country, on a street corner where more french youths arrived on scooters and in rusty old cars.
I was quite novelty for the first ten minutes, but when that wore off the kids got down to business. And I started listening to my new Janes Addiction album on my discman.
There was one guy, who looked about 19ish, but who knows - his name was Cyril. Here is a picture of him and the little boy, plus William, another random.

Cyril is the one in the red, doing bad things to the little boy (who's name i think is Boris). And William is the other one in red looking really out of it. Look! you can even see their hardcore scooter helmets in the background!
So, Cyril comes up to me and we start chatting, he is very good at english, and he is very flattering too. Anyway he asks to see my discman, and I tried to tell him who I was listening to, but he didn't seem very interested in the CD. He wanted to know about the batteries. At around this time I became aware that there were two rather large policemen standing on the other side of the road watching us all. And I started to get very, very nervous. Then Cyril ushered me over to his car, where I saw a small gun, probably 9mm on the drivers seat. He then got into the car with my discman and he took the batteries out, and in their place he shoved a small package of little pills. Let me tell you, they WEREN'T panadols! So then Manue came up to me and told me to get into the car with Cyril and his friends and she would meet me later. I was absolutely terrified. I had been in the country a week, and on the second night with the person that is meant to be showing me family life and teenage life in France, I was being involved in smuggling speed across the countryside.
So aware that there was a gun, and not being able to converse too well, I had no option but to get in the little white renault with random french men. We drove for about thirty minutes when we ended up at a random McDonalds on the side of the road. The trip was quite scary as there were guns being waved around the backseat and Kylie Minogue was being pumped on the radio. Did I mention that Cyril was driving on a windy dirt road about 20km/h over the speed limit? And did I mention that he was swerving, with no headlights on? Well... he was. And I was shitting myself. I had never been so scared in my life. And to this day, I haven't been either.
So we got to the McDonalds and Cyril bought me a cheeseburger and chips and I sat down at a table with one of his friends called Matt. Matt looked a bit like Kurt Cobain, long hair, dimpled chin and stubble. Matt wasn't as good at english as Cyril, but we chatted for about 20 minutes, it was quite comforting. really! Then some hardcores came, with their slicked back hair and gross grossness of gross. My discman and various other items was handed to them, and they took it to their cars. I thought I would never see my precious discman again, but no, Cyril went out there to get his money and my discman back.
Then Cyril, Matt and the other guy and I got back into the car where we headed back to Les Sables D'Olonne (the main town in the region) where we met up with Manue and her weird little scooter friends. Then Cyril "made his dick cry." - I too was scared when he said this, but I soon realised he didn't actually know the verb, to pee.
So I jumped on the back of Manues scooter, and we went back home.
And that was the time that I smuggled drugs across the french countryside.
Later that week, Manue and I went to visit some of her friends in this mansion type thing. We got there, and we went into this little bedroom that was just filled with cigarette smoke. When I got there, once again i was the novelty australian girl, so they decided to celebrate my arrival with a joint. It was quite a little ritual they had going with the rolling of the joints. There were papers stuck to the wall, so one girl (who's house it was) who was possibly more androgynous than JD Samson (polly, do you remember it? at our soiree it took us the whole night to work out that it had boobs) carefully took a paper off the wall (why there were cigarette papers on the wall in the first place i have no idea?) and handed it to the second kid, who filled it, who then handed it onto the next kid, who licked half, and the next kid licked the next bit, and I had to roll it. Anyone that knows me well, knows that i can't roll a joint to save my life - but I managed this time, but the second one I completely stuffed up.
So yeah. That's my experience of drugs in france. Here is a picture of My French student, and her sister. I don't have a picture of Matt (Kurt Cobain guy) nor do I have a picture of the androgynous chick. But here you go.

Oh, and those that met Manue when she came to Australia, let me tell you - she changed HEAPS! And she seems to be hanging out with a different croud now, because I asked her how Maman Bondieu was doing, but she told me she hadn't seen her or Boris or Cyril in months. So hmm...
- Em xoxo
p.s Manue wasn't supposed to be my host student, the girl I was supposed to stay with was in hospital having her stomach pumped.
p.p.s later in the week, Polly made out with Cyril. Well... it was pretty pathetic, but still very amusing.

4 degrees of separation!
Ok, before I start on my connection with JD Samson, I'd just like to say that my mother, as in my mother, the one that gave birth to me and went spastic at me when she found out that my close friend almost died, twice of a drug overdose just sent me an amusing video thing on marijuana. I am scared. I honestly am. You can see it
here. I'm not sure where it's from, some british skit show I assume. It's pretty funny though.
Anyway, back to the original point.
I just found this picture of my favourite androgynous female, JD Samson. She's about #6ish at the moment on my boyfriend/girlfriend list.

It's JD (on the right for any confused people out there) with none other than Alan Cumming!!!
Anyone that knows me REALLY well would know that I have been a fan of his since about hmmm... year 4ish. He was Boris in Goldeneye - the best character in Bond movies ever.
And don't get me started on Romy and Michele's High School Reunion! And he was Elton (Rev Elton) in Emma. He is just brilliant.
Anyway, many years ago my aunty found out that I loved Alan Cumming and she told me that a friend of hers actually used to go to school with him or something like that. So that means that JD Samson and I have 4 degrees of separation between us! woo!
Anyway yes. School was good, well as good as double english and a single of psych can be.

sexallent news people!!!
I really should be at school, but I just can't be bothered. Meh, I'll go at recess or something.
Anyway, awesome news!!! I just found out who's playing at Homebake this year! woo! But the question is, how the crack do I get there?
Anyway, the lineup care of
the homebake website and the Ben Lee board, is that
The Finn Brothers, the Living End, Something for Kate, Ben Lee, Wolfmother, the Cat Empire, Cut Copy, Cog, the Saints, the Beautiful Girls, Decoder Ring, Sarah Blasko, End of Fashion, Evermore, the Go-Betweens, Paul Mac, the Dirty Three, Katalyst & RU c.l, Sneaky Sound System, Kisschasy, Wolf & Cub - plus many, many more will be playing!
I'd also just like to draw everyones attention to the fact that Ben Lee is fourth on the list, that means he's good, well, he's inbetween SFK (!!!) and Wolfmother - so that's gotta say something!
We've known since he was but a young teenager and since then he's been lauded as one of Australia's finest songwriters and at the ripe age of just twenty six he's already experienced a full life indeed. In 2003 he made his feature film debut alongside Rose Byrne and Miranda Richardson with the title role of Placid Lake in the Australian comedy, The Rage In Placid Lake. He's also performed a duet with Kylie Minogue; written songs for Evan Dando's 2003 album, Baby I'm Bored; been involved in a collaboration with Ben Kweller and Ben Folds under the name 'The Bens'. Now for the first time ever at Homebake, BEN LEE will awaken your pop sensibilities when he takes centre stage equipped with past favourites and a bunch of new tunes from his recent album 'Awake Is The New Sleep' at this year's HOMEBAKE festival.
Yes, I thought I would just add that in.
But my next problem is getting there. I mean, it's in Sydney, and I'm in Melbourne, and chances are I would have emptied my bank account at schoolies. So hmmm. what a dilEMMA.
Anyway, I need to get to school as well... I'm not paying thousands of doubloons per year to go to some rank school with no classes. And since when have I been speaking like a pirate? meh.

in the morning you were there and you felt things get strange
I don't seem to have the urge to post anymore. I mean, I got into the habit of posting daily, even twice or thrice daily - but now I'm struggling to write anything at all. I am slowly running out of my creative juices. Not that I had many in the beginning, but hey.
I think it's just year 12 is slowely bringing me to the point of near insanity crossed with just being fed up with everything. Just getting myself up from bed is getting harder each day. Even looking down at my soggy cereal, I don't have much ambition to write. hmm... sucks to be me.
Today I finished off my IT SAC, woo. I just love programming - visual basic rocks my world. (note sarcasm in the way that i press these little keys) Then i went on a mega hunt for an address after Ms Hall decided to not let me go onto the schools student database. Ms Hall is so munchkin, I think when I leave, she will be one of my most missed teachers.
Oh, and by the way, EVERYONE (those at St Leo's) need to go to assembly on Monday, so don't even think about wagging. And make sure you get a seat where you can see the stage. That is all I am saying about that issue.
What else is rocking my town at the mo? nothing. honestly, nothing. The most exciting thing today was probably my long chat with Isabel this arvo. Actually, today has been a big isabel day. We chatted in period x and for an hour and a half after lunch. I love Iz. I want all my babies to be just like her - even the boy ones. She's just perfect.
Here is a tribute to Isabel by Salona

Discover the Rewards of a Career in Information Technology
I think I have Bloggers Block. I have nothing to write about tonight. Nothing particually exciting happened tonight, today, last night or yesterday.
I got my psychology mid-year results yesterday. I suppose that was kind of exciting. Although it musn't have been that great as I only remembered that I had the letter that told me my result when I started talking to Sarah on MSN about it. I'm happy with my result, but I think Ms Dennett expected more. Meh. Women are never pleased.
Congrats to everyone else for their Bio, Psych, Chem & Physics results, you all did super/poorly (choose correct answer) - and keep up the good work/study harder dickhead!
And heres a random statement: Does Courtney Taylor-Taylor remind anyone here of Owen Wilson? I think it's stuck in my mind, you know, wehn Owen Wilson was in Zoolander, and he did that look - that reminds me sooo much of Courtney Taylor-Taylor. ANd yes, I know I am a dick for thinking that. No one needs to remind me.
Wait! I have overcome my Bloggers Block!!! Do you all know what week it is?
"BE MEAN TO EMMA WEEK!!!"Man, I love those weeks. They are always such a surprise, like for the past 3 weeks, it has been normal, but yesterday I was quite surprised when everyone, especially Amy and Salona decided to be super mean to me and not love me anymore. It was quite a change, a breath of fresh air even!
Man, I love being the butt of everyones jokes. Oh, and even more - I love being excluded from trips to Davids! Ahhh, good times.
Oh, and I especially love it when people delete the Stone Roses and Rick Springfield off the jukebox!
And my absolute FAVOURITE part of "Be mean to Emma week" is when Sarah, Vera and Riss tell Emma/me what happens in the end of Harry Potter, when I am 4 chapters from the end when it is really suspenceful.
Oh, I wish every week was "be mean to Emma week"
