FREE HAIR CONSULTATIONS AVAILABLE
mmm... student free days are heaven! i woke up this morning at apporximately 8 minutes past 11. oh sleep-ins are bliss! Then i revised hypothetical constructs and the ames room. i still suck at the ames room, but im gonna ace any questions on hypothetical constructs. I'm really looking forward to the psychology exam on tuesday. Seriously! the practice exams are fun, so i'm sure the real one will be even better. I love challenging my mind, sometimes i wish i had done maths methods. I love maths, and solving things. And Further just doesn't stimulate me. now, i don't wish to sound cocky. im no maths genious, i know the stuff and it all makes sense in my mind, but i lose marks on those ghey questions where you have to round to 1 decimal place instead of 2. I can't believe they take off a whole mark for that! My answer is correct, and when EVER in my life will i have to round off to a specific decimal place? (i hate the "in the morning" radio edit (by ben lee) the original is so much better suited to the radio!) Any bets that one day i will lose my job because i rounded off to the wrong decimal place. grrr.
So during my study today, i was sitting there in silence, and after a while my ears began to tune to outside noises. There is a building site a few doors down from me, and i think they were getting ready to pour the concrete today. Anyway, their radio was blaring, as all building sites stereos do. And i'm like, hey i know this song! its was "on the verge" by le tigre (feminist electronica-punk-rock group that i love) off their album "This Island" it isn't one of their singles, so i was wondering why it was on the radio. Then after that finished "Keep on Livin'" came on (by le tigre, off "Feminist Sweepstakes") and im like, hmmm thats odd, what radio station plays le tigre twice in a row? so i kept listening and the next song was sinead o'connor, i can't remember what song though. Anyway, im like hmm... it's time to investigate, so i went through every radio station on my stereo trying to match the building site. But to no avail. :(
So i put on some clothes and walked up to see if i could get a sneak peek at where their radio was tuned.
I stopped outside my hot neighbours house and i realised that their radio was tuned to the iPod sitting on top of the stereo. Now this is rediculous i thought. I've heard of nightclubs not having turntables, but just an iPod to pump out tunes, but a fricken BUILDING SITE?!?! what's the world coming to?
So i'm standing there with my mouth open wide, and my scary pedophile neighbour (he's seriosuly scary! he NEVER wears pants!!! as in... he wears these tiny little shorts which are gross.) who's house is next to the building site came over and asked what i was doing out. I told him i wanted to find the source of the music, and who was playing it. In the end i got dragged over to the head builder man, who told me Friday is Joe's turn to operate the stereo (they are civilised enough to have a schedual for the stereo) Joe was pointed out to me. Joe was a woman. i'm going to generalise and go one step further and say lesbian (fair assumption, she's a builder with a man's hair cut and a very manly body, who listens to le tigre and sinead.)
Then the most embarrassing thing happened, Joe came over to ask the head builder dude what's next on the agenda... and he goes "hey this girl here came over to find out about the music" and im like... oh my goodness, way to just be embarrassing. So i'm like "oh yeah, i heard Le Tigre playing..." blah blah blah. in the end, she's like oh yeah? i love them, i saw them early this year. and im like "me too! at BDO!" and shes like, nah i went to their gig the day after. hmmm... jealousy. It sounded like such an amazing show. She even met Jo (from le tigre) afterwards, but no JD :(
And thats my day. kinda.
