i can pat the dog whilst changing a light bulb. CAN YOU?
Last night was the Bangladesh dinner. 'Twas pleasantly pleasant. I think everybody enjoyed themselves, i know i certainly did. There was dancing, and food, and speeches, and food, and dancing, and socialising, and food, and dancing.
It was kind of weird having friends wait on you, but it didnt bother me too much as Kumi was my waitress, and normally she is my slave anyway :P
The dancers were really good, not quite synchronised like in bollywood, but still uber cool. But the one that looked like Mr Gul was a bit freaky. The highlight of the night however, was definatley seeing Dr Hayward, our principal, get in the mosh of year 12's and dance. Gee, that guy sure can boogie!

p.s. I just found out that princess of skank, Paris Hilton has approached Le Tigre, asking them to help make her new record. Oh man, i will explode if they say yes, i may even throw their album out the window. But there is no way that they would accept... they are anti-war/anti-fur/anti-bush feminists! meh. i will cry if they even consider it though!

I really dislike the smell of Libraries.
Im in my local library at the moment. not very exciting, but i have nothing else to do, as i am waiting for an opthamologist appointment because i want contacts, and i need the go ahead from him. but yeah, anyway. I have lived in Brighton my whole entire life (woo! go me!) and there has been this lady who is kinda whack looking that seems to have lived here her entire life too. She used to be quite large, but she has lost a lot of weight. But she used to be REALLY REALLY REALLY blind, but she got contacts. anyway, she can't drive so i see her walking everywhere, and she always wears the SAME thing. A full length gross skirt with eleastic keeping it up, and tucked into it is a plain white skivvy! And she has weird hair. she used to really scare me when i was young, but i have since leaned that she isn't "all there" in the head. but hey, thats my useless piece of info for today. i must go now, i don't (ahh!!! she is standing behind me!) want to be late for my opthamologist appointment.

p.s libraries smell funny.

A Royal Coincidence?
I woke up this morning with a tiny hangover, nothing spectacular... so i went on with my day. I decided to practice trombone... definately NOT a good idea. Oh My, that was one painful experience, it felt as though my head was going to self implode.
But on the up side, i was playing REALLY well, pity i had to stop.
I decided to watch the Bonus Features on the Princess Diaries 2 DVD today, v.entertaining. Anyway, in the first movie the lurve intrest is played by an amzingly
HOT young guy called Robert Schwartzman, who i have had a massive crush on since I first saw Princess Diaries 1. Anyway, I knew he was in a band, but i wasn't sure which and I didn't think that they would be very popular. Boy was i wrong. Anyway, I also have the hots for Jason Schwartzman from Phantom Planet and who also used to be in Ben Lee's old band. I knew that both Jason Schwartzman and Robert Schwartzman came from talented families, and i also knew that Jason's cousin or uncle or something was Nicholas Cage... and I also knew that Robert's cousin or uncle or something was Nicholas Cage. And I also find Robert and Jason v.attractive for the exact same reasons (hair, musical ability, face ect.) But did I ever put 1 and 1 together? Did i ever have the brains to work out that they are brothers? No, i had to read it on
imdb.com. I am so damn stupid.
Robert also turned out to be the frontman for
Rooney, a band that i have liked for a while now. AHHH!!!
So, as it turns out, Anne Hathaway (Princess Mia) who is my favourite Actress has only... 3 degrees of separation from Ben Lee who is my Favourite Actor.
Man, life is full of surprises.

p.s i know you guys deserve much more than a small post-script, but a
BIG thanks to all of my adoring fans who love me sooo much that they bought me gifts for my special day. It was a huge surprise. I LOVE YOU GUYS!

listening to the man i missed
It's 9.13 and I'm in the study centre at school. My IT teacher neglected to show up and im stuck to do crap all except listen to the man i missed and write in my blog. S, you were damn smart not to come to school today. I wish i was sick.
We sat around for 20 minutes outside our classroom, and someone told us that our teacher, Mrs Hall was away. Why didn't someone tell me this morning... I COULD HAVE SLEPT IN!!!
Mind you, i doubt i could have, S called me at the crack of dawn (8.03am) telling me she didn't feel like coming to school today, which is fair enough, she felt like shit. But more than that, a "witheld number" called me twice in the wee ours of the night (2.43am and 3.09am according to my phone) but i hung up on them because I need my sleep. So, WHO WAS IT!!! i have my suspicions... but come on, i need a name people!
I have been sad for approximately 15 hours now. Ben Lee's second melbourne gig sold out yesterday morning. And i don't have tickets to his 1st or 2nd show. And I cried. And I still am on the verge of crying. It doesn't help right now because I'm listening to Sandpaperback... which probably isn't the best song to listen to in this particular situation. Ah crap, now the song changed to "still on the line." Thats it, i don't think i will listen to Ben for a week. I am still in the first stage of the mourning process. Last night i thought i have gone to the third, but i hadn't. I should be hitting denial soon, well at least in the next day.
Hmmm... i changed my playlist to Le Tigre, quite an odd switch. Viz is playing... ooohhh i love JD, she is so cool and brave; this is a brilliant song describing her butch-ness. I love the bit where she sings... "theres a girl... she comes up, dances on me. I look into her eyes, i say: 'hey! you're not a dyke!' " (the song is set in a club or something) i can't help but laughing because i made the same mistake. maybe not to such an extent as this girl, but hey!
Poor thing, must be hard to explain to all the chicks out there that your actually a woman and not a man. how awkward for the people that think she is a he.
it's only 9.34am damn. another 50 minutes until recess. then english then psychology then house meetings then Athletics. meh. school sucks. At least im only an emergency for the 200m. ahhh... the joys of being unfit.
must go.

My Dream
I had a really whack dream last night.
Megan and I were at a Le Tigre concert at the Corner Hotel and we were dancing like crazy and the show was absolutely awesome. Then we changed venues (you know how in dreams you randomly change locations but everything keeps happening normally...) to the Hamer Hall (the melbourne concert hall) and everyone was sitting down, and megan had disappeared (but i didn't notice... sorry Megan!!!) and i was sitting next to this random. A few rows infront of me, Tori Amos was sitting down with her binoculars and Amy was sitting next to her asking if she could look. I don't think Tori let her.
Anyway, the concert was over... and it just happened to be the middle of the day, so i went down to a park (which i have never seen in real life... but it appears a lot in my dreams, like the freaky Lisa dream... eew!) to have a picnic. But i can't remember who i was with, i think Conor may have been with me, im not sure. Anyway, then all these other kids from the concert came and started having picnics as well. We were all talking about the Concert and which girl was the best and stuff. Then a big bunch of concert go-ers came and little did i know... but the girls from Le Tigre was in the group, but it was so big i couldn't see. So when i finally realised, my heart was pumping really hard. They all came to various picnics around the park to discuss music and stuff. Kathleen (from Le Tigre) came to talk to talk to my group of friends (which Megan was back in now. :P YEY!) and yeah... i was really excited. But JD and Jo never came to talk. and i was really upset.
The Kathleen from Le Tigre, Peter and I went to go see that new movie with Topher Grace and Dennis Quaid in it. It was really good, i recommend it... but don't blame me if it was crap, i have only seen it in a dream.
Anyway, Kathleen from Le Tigre said she would introduce me to JD from Le Tigre. And i was all excited, and we were walking over to her... and my heart was pounding and i could see her in the park laughing... and her hair was so cool... and we were almost there... and then... MY DAD WOKE ME UP FOR SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!
AHHHHHHHHH!!!- Em xoxo

I visted my Granma today
and my mum asked her how her new hearing aid was going. my granma's response was this: "pardon darling?" and she moves closer. No joke, she spends thousands on a new hearing aid, and it does crap all.
in other news... holiday homework can die. school can die. i hate SACs and BAHHHH!!!

sell us bluecrack
I've always thought my family was cool, my extended family that is. I've always know my parents aren't cool.
My cousins are all older than me, except for John, who doesn't count because... well just cos i said so.
But yeah, as for my older cousins, when i was growing up they seemed so cool, all athletic and popular. Especially Kellie, she is my only female cousin that i see and she always had heaps of friends, she played netball, basketball and she could talk to guys easily. She was... in a word, my idol. But I look at her now and i can't help but wonder what went wrong.
My other cousins were also very much the same... but male. Matt could have played cricket for Victoria if he wanted, and Shane played underage cricket for Australia.
Shane is 19ish at the moment, and in trouble, he has a 3 year old son, which may not even be his, that we aren't allowed to talk about because my granma doesn't know. And Matt is one HUGE man. as in...
HUGE!!! and Kellie, my ex-idol, she has a slob of a boyfriend, who just sits around and drinks beer all day. And she works for a hardware store.Whenever we have family gatherings i just look at how different my family looks now that I'm slowly turning into an adult. It's really depressing to think that one day i may eventually turn into one of these people.
But things are looking up, if i end up going to Uni, which i do plan on doing, i will be the first in my family to do so. (except for my aunty, but she doesn't count because she got her Bachelor of Arts and did nothing with it. she hasn't had a job for 30 years... and she is like 50.)
or maybe I'll just marry a millionaire and take the easy way out. oh, and P, don't force it!
my life sucks.

Hello, Bonjour, Hola, Ni hao, Guten Tag, Nahmahstay, Selamat pagi, Magandang tanghali po, Zdravstvuite & Sekoh
OK, so i was a bit unhappy with my last hit-counter (that thingy with numbers on it, down the left hand side of the page) because it just counted hits. So whenever i refreshed the page it would go up by one. So, i decided to get a new one that counted each person, rather than the number of times they refreshed, and i found this nifty little one called
W3Counter and oh my, it does some fascinating things! (I'm such a geek, i know!) Angus and I were playing around with it last night, and it tells you where each person lives... (well not really, it just has their IP address, which any computer geek should know tells you where they live.) and the date they first logged on, how many times they have viewed the page their screen size, browser, Operating System (yes hello those three random Mac users) and colour bit-rate.
So anyway, we were amazed by all the international hits, (I've had people from the US, UK, Singapore, Phillepines, Spain, France & some country east of Italy, oh, and Italy.) so i got the code for this french thingy which has a little world map and a little light that comes on at the point where you live... hmmm, its hard to explain. Maybe Angus could do a better explanation. But anyway, i'm getting rid of the world map because its ugly. (I'm so shallow!)
- Em xoxo
p.s Did you know that the word chutney comes originally from the Hindi language?
p.p.s new international people, feel free to leave a message! we'd love to here from you.

Diamond Lil's
I went on a drive today. I didn't drive, but i was in a car that was moving. GO ME!
I went to Bendigo, 'twas pleasantly pleasant. We wondered around for a while, and then had a
HUGE lunch at the "Shamrock Hotel." I had chicken parma, it was gooooood!Yeah. so that was about it. we saw a gold mine, and a closed chinese worshipping house, and old people. We also went to Daylesford and ahh... Kyeneton... (OMG!!! the is a Kyeneton Golf Club!!! remember that from IPM Salona? ahhh... i could murder that golf club... and that damn fantasy bookstore. grrr!!!) and we almost got to Ballarat, but we decided to just go back home, because all country towns are the same. On the way, I saw 3 kangaroo's of the dead variety and an almost dead man in an upturned car. poor bloke, his family was out of the car (they were OK) but his side was smashed up pretty bad.
On the way home there were these dudes in the car infront. they looked about 20, one was damn fine, and they kept looking back at us. maybe it was due to my sexyness? or maybe not. *sigh*
Yes. so then i came home to find my man (that Salona stole) on the news... something about publicity for Victoria. Damn he looked fine, pity Salmoc was on camp... or not! BWAH HA HA!!!
S, I hope you're have a fab time learning the meaning of life!
Must go... fatigue setting in. ghey.

Sweatshop exploitation is modern globalised capitalism stripped bare: Part 1
I went to go find my birthday present with my mum today. Quite an interesting trip.
I really wanted these red sneakers... (the ones on the left)

and i knew they sold them at
Hunter Gatherer in Brunswick St, Fitzroy so we drive down there and yeah. On the way there (from the car park to the shop) i get stopped by this woman and she asks me if she could have my autograph. No, being the international super star celebrity that I am, i had to refuse, otherwise there may have been some kind of rampage towards me by the other citizens of Fitzroy.
Although, she may have asked because she was being ghey and I was wearing a T-shirt that said "Je suis un Rock Star" (i'm a rock star for those non-francophones) but hey, you never know, she may have recognised me from my guest appearances on "the house of bulger" or as my job as "media manager" of internationally renowned rockers,
Black Tennis Dress.
Yes... so anyway, after that i felt all special. all warm and fuzzy.
So we get to the shop, and they didn't have my size. They had 5's and 7's... BUT NO 6's!!!! AHHH!!! but that didnt matter, because
Friends of the Earth stock them. They are in Smith St which is like 5 mins from where we were. so we get there, and we ask the dude if he stocked them, and he nods and points to a stack of boxes on the ground. So i move over there and the dude at the counter says, "the colours on the box are the same colours as the shoes." this man was an absolute genious!!! he was ultimate hippie. Hot though. :p
Yeah, so they had size 6, and they fitted. but the dude didnt take credit cards. so we had to walk ages to find a bank. we found it we came back (just! we almost got whacked by this bunch of people brawling on the street. there was about 5 drunk aborigines on this absolutely 230% pissed white man. stupid man, he was spiting on them, he could hardly stand), and then the guy in the shop didn't

Calling all ChicKnots/SlipChicks!!!
GUYS!!! You know how much i love those quizzes that tell you what celebrity you are... or what 90's subculture you belong to... well... i just found...
What SlipKnoT member are you??heres hoping i turn out as Paul. cos if i dont, there will be sever numbering difficulties.
OMG!!! that is sooo weird!
 | You scored as Paul 2. Your Paul the bassest for SlipKnoT. He's one of the founders of the band.
Paul 2 | | 75% | Mick 7 | | 75% | Craig 5 | | 75% | Jim 4 | | 67% | Shawn 6 | | 42% | Joey 1 | | 33% | Chris 3 | | 33% | Sid 0 | | 33% | Corey 8 | | 25% |
What SlipKnoT member are you?? created with QuizFarm.com |
But... does that mean I'm equally Mick and Craig as i am Paul? maybe that last question they asked me was the tie-breaker. Oh well... I'm happy. we now have this psychic connection now, can't you just feel the "Paul-Aura" radiating from my very being?

When Salona met Saif
Hello all you unicultural people! well, that sounds a bit harsh... but if i asked you who Saif Ali Khan is, i am almost positive you wouldnt have a clue who we are on about. you might reply with... "is that one of those bollywood dudes that Salona and you are obsessed with?" and i would say... "why yes, he is. and he is DAMN FINE!!!"
Anyway, this Salona girl who i speak of, well... lets just say, i am SUPER jealous of her. check it out...

Yes, that is Salona, and yes, that is Saif Ali Khan.
He is probably the Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise of Bollywood. (thats the indian film industry for those who have no idea what im bluecracking on.)
Yes, her brother-in-law-to-be, Bikash, was stalking him/following him down the street in the city, so he called her up and yeah, then they got photos and stuff.
And meh. i want to meet Saif.
He is/was making a film in Melbourne, but i think they have finished now. We wanted to audition to be an extra person, but SOMEBODY chickened out. ghey dick.
and there was the perfect role for me - Stunning Girl: Should be a 20- 25yr old Australian girl, tall, leggy and very beautiful.
Yes so. when the movie comes out, i will tell u dudes. thats assuming i am still writing in my blog. but i will get excited when it does.
- Em, tall, leggy and VERY beautiful xoxo

Not Cool Club
I just recieved an email from myself (because i added a post on this board, and it emails me whenever someone adds a post) and it had nothing to do with being cool or, in my case... not. but anyway, I have gmail, and there are little ads on the side that have relvance to what the email is about. eg. an email about cats will have ads on the side like... adopting cats, or cat food, or cat cemetaries.
So anyway, i look at the ad on the side of this particular email from me, and the first on is for the "Not Cool Club." How depressing.
So just out of curiosity (not because i have self esteem issues) i click on the link.
"The site is run by a monkey. An angry monkey. How could you not join a site run by an angry monkey?"
Yes, how could i not? so i did. (not because i have self-esteem issues, just... because...)
My request is being processed by the angry monkey at the moment. i may not be uncool enough for him/her, so i could get rejected from the "not cool club" but i will keep you posted on the situation.
If anyone wants to check out the "not cool club" they can do so by clicking
here and if you think you are more uncool than me, feel free to join. but remember, the angry monkey may reject your application. Damn that Angry Monkey!!! *shakes fist hard*

I often wonder... what a "duran" is
OK, so you people know how I love those tests that tell you what kind
of Johnny Depp or John Cusak you are? well, i tracked down the author,
and they are officially one of the coolest people alive.
They have this great website (even better than this one!!!) check it
out...
Anyway, she has more tests, for example... I am a "mega music nerd" i
didnt think i was, but apparently I am. i scored 55.31401% on the
music nerd test. I'm not sure what that means, but i am a music nerd.
you can find that test here...
they also have more quizzes, like...
- Which British Band Are You?
- Which 1980's Hair Band Are You?
- Which Rock Chick Are You?
- Which 1990's Subculture Do You Belong To?
plus... What Band Should You Be In? and Your Superhero Persona. HOW COOL!!!
Apparently i am the guitarist from the deftones, and i am most well
known for my "Punk rock fashion sense" (fashion sense? me?!?!)
I love this site. the art is fantastic, but the poems are a bit dark... but eh?
AND oh my god, check out her CD collection! it is amazing! (but no ben
lee grrr!!!)
I bow down to this woman, she is amazing.

What FUN!!!
So after my website building today, i procrastinated some more, and i
listed this blog at blogwise.com apparently they actually check your
blog and rate it. so im quite proud it got listed. GO ME!!!
I also found this cool satelite imaging thing, it is pretty cool, but
it doesn't show Australia, but you can zoom up anywhere in North
America. It's done by NASA satelites. it's a bit old though.
www.keyhole.com is where it's happening at.
Then, just an hour ago, i found this rock star of a website:
www.shopfree.com/Free_Music you can download free music. its pretty
cool, but none of the bands are well known, i think the most well
known band i saw there was antiskeptic. although im not sure if it was
the real them or not as they spelt their name antiskepti. (without the
"c" for those dyslexic friends of mine!)
on the same site you can sign up for free samples of things. i signed
up for free pens. mmm... pens...
Anyway, take care,
- Em xoxo

emma truely is fab
I just finished the layout for my favourite bands website. (yes, they actually let ME make them a website) its a bit ghey at the moment, nothing is aligned correctly and the links don't go anywhere, but thats only because i don't have anywhere to send the links. but hey, i like it. it looks kinda weird tho. i wanted to make it look like an image my friend made of the original band, but my artistic capabilities don't stretch as far as hers. Damn art students.
check it out
hereif anyone knows a good web hosting site, please tell me because geocities is REALLY smelly.
Yeah, so thats my little bit of procrastination for the day. i am sure i will find something to amuse myself with in a second.

memory is reconstructive as apposed to reproductive
I went formal dress shopping with my mum on saturday. It wasn't really formal dress shopping, it was more like, we went into one shop randomly and i saw a dress i liked. I tried on the size 12, and it fitted well, but had a bit of extra material around the tummy, but i loved it, and i wanted to think about it some more before i purchased it.
So, yesterday, i went around to Polly's house to watch them film "Neighbours" across the road. V.Boring, so we all went to lunch at the "ally cafe" near the train station. The food was quite good, except for mine, but thats because i bought a ham and cheese croissant at bakers delight before we got there. ANYWAY!!! NOT THE POINT!!! after lunch, we went down to the shop that had my dress. note the word "had." They did not have the dress i wanted, instead they only had sizes 10, 16 and 18 (who is size 18?!?!?!) and NO BLUECRACKING
AHHH!!!! so,
i asked the woman, and she said they didn't even have a size 12 when i was there on saturday. which is horribly untrue, as i remember the same woman telling me that there was one size 12 left. So, i tried on the size 10 and it fitted. i may have to lose some weight closer to the event, but it seemed to be OK. although my hips look like those that belong to a pregnant elephant, but ah well. this'll have to do.
The same day, i found out that the Ben Lee gig at the Corner Hotel on the 15th of May had sold out. I had a good cry about that, then i found out that they were going to do an extra show on the 17th of May. YEY!!! I'm so excited!
But, you know what is dumb? Yesties i found out that one of my all time favourite Ben Lee songs, "no room to bleed" has stolen the piano line from some horrible gut wrenching song by Charlene, titled "never been to me" check it out here. Thanks to P & AC for making me realise that perfect Ben isnt as perfect as he once was in my eyes. ahh well, we're only human!

p.s Salona met Saif Ali Khan!!! OMG!!!
p.p.s Someone is singing "happy birthday" outside my house, i think i should go tell them it's 2 weeks away.

My beautiful legs
I was just in the orthodontist, and i was waiting to make my next appointment (so i am standing up) and the boy(of about 14 years of age) sitting down near me is just staring at mylegs with this weird look on his face, then he looked up to see if iwas male or female, (like the dress wouldn't give it away) and i givehim the biggest greasy. he deserves it though. i mean, checking out mysexy legs! thats like looking at a hot guys butt when he bends over.
In other news, i really do need to shave my legs soon. they are getting quite gross.
